Well, I've posted this sort of stuff MANY times in the admin forums and such, but I figured this time around I'd post em here.

 

So just to remind you the game might not have as many players, we're still getting people from all over the internet checking out these sites...

Are you sure most of them aren't (undercover) bots?

 

In AWStats a lot of the hits are from gaming websites, probably 50% to be exact. Another 30% from SS websites and bookmarks. The rest from random sites, hits, etc, a lot these are most likely bots. If you compare it to SSForum's # of bot hits that it tracks as bots (have over 1000 known bots in the list), the 250,000/month seems about right with all these stats.

 

Seems people are posting SSForum on more and more sites. That and a lot of stuff we post here, people seem to google up, and link to from other forums also (oddly enough found one of our car threads linked to on some weird site).
