I think we should have 2 more 2 mill items we have and reactor and armor and a sublight why not a gun and a bomb

 

God Destroyer

 

l4 bomb

32 shrapnel

prox=+1

bomb delley =135

bomb energy =265

max mines =6

mine energy 300

 

Purple Lightning

bounce=+1

gun level=4

bullet deley=22

bullet energy=23

multifire=+1

 

you can change the names and whatever just would be awesome a lever 4 gun and a level 4 bomb i can feel shivvers down my spine o wait is that my gf kissing my neck

Don't take this the wrong way, but we don't need item suggestions. We have literally a long list of items waiting to go in already. Basically feel free to post what you want but don't expect anything in this thread to get used, or anything similar to it. I wouldn't want to mislead you about that.

Then where are the new items? New items are a lotta fun and add much more ship customization. Would be cool if a new item could be introduced like once every week to keep things interesting.

 

Those two items mentioned are epicly overpowered, you know.

 

 

I do think there should be moar guns and bombs though, so:

 

Gunlevel: +2

Bulletdelay: 18

Bulletenergy: 18

Multidelay: 15

Multienergy: 35

Ammo: 42

Signature Gun

 

 

Because I dislike multifire being exactly the same as singlefire on guns.

Also, you'll recall that a couple of months back I was releasing 3-4 items every few days one week, that's probably what will happen again when it happens.

Wow, those items are ridiculous. My guess is that the alien items are only reactor sublight and armor because those item types are more or less ineffectual at ruining combat for everyone around you, unlike old alien tech like the Supercomputer and Ultra Rocket. A 32 shrapnel level 4 bomb would definitely ruin combat.

 

I'd like to see something like this, though:

 

Quantum Tunneler

Cost: 2 mil, 25k exp

Type: FTL, Alien Tech

Effect: PM any friendly player with ?tunnel to attach to their ship, whether or not they are a lancaster. If they are not a lancaster, you are immediately unattached.

 

Basically giving you the ability to give up antideath in order to attach to any teammate anywhere.

I think it would be a bit expensive for the trade-off, but nice item Gar!

 

But on another note, it would also be nice to see some more non-sig guns (particularly with bounce/multi), bombs, and armor. Other non-sig items would be a good addition as well. Increase our options.

Anyway, it's pretty much a ridiculous mechanic that just exacerbates the LAWLZ RICH > SAD POOR problem. It's not good for the zone for there to be an 'ace up your sleeve' mechanic that lets a rich person automatically win a situation if they want - they just choose not to use the 'ace up the sleeve' to give other people the illusion they can succeed so they don't quit.

Specially if you do that constantly to team mate whos in a shark and you having a brick/field? Or where a team mate slipped p!@#$%^&* enemy freq, you do ?tunnel while lanc. BOOM, in 1 command you switched from attackers to defenders.

This is partially why i think that 2 mil is too much. This should be somewhat accessible to the "poor", imo maybe 150 or 200k at the most because personally i think the unlimited token is much better since it allows you to warp at anytime and it uses basically what appears to be no nrg or close to it and u can use the token with flags (which i think should be nerfed). The unlimited token is 450k and doesn't use an alien slot.

Oh, sorry. I should have made it clear that I didn't intend this to work for a Lancaster for exactly the reason you pointed out. In addition, the Quantum Tunneler replaces your FTL, so you can't get to base 8 between ?tunnels without having a Lanc sitting there letting you attach, and in that case people can quick field or brick anyway.

erm, I have to dissagree with your item there Gar.

The attaching could easily be spammed by and team of f3ar, raw-!@#$%^&*, and a few other "high" exp level players.

Making a perfect combination of runwinning and 1337 tunnel running :D

 

But, I didn't say I didn't like the idea...

that sounds extremely cool but the truth is... think about it... if ANYONE really get that kind of weapon then it's chaos, flaggames would never start if that player is playing and centering will be way unbalanced. i mean seriously that's pretty much TacNuke but 20 times stronger and Pulse Laser at point defense power... then all that person have to do is shoot for like 20 seconds and the enemie team = dead

 

and dont say u cant shoot for 20 seconds, it uses about as much energy as plasma cannon!

Strangely enough they pretty much implemented my idea with the new ?attach command, though I'm sure they didn't take it from this thread...
