Hakaku Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 Purge, you're not actually suppose to take a picture of MSPaint; you're just suppose to edit the bottom part.
Audry Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 Ohhhh owned Purge!! and Indeed, Sama is a woman.
Drake7707 Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 it's not that bad, honestly, i had my whole 4gb ram occupied once ... and each program was less than 100mb ram ... It was like:2 games open (!@#$%^&* ppl interrupting me all the time), office (for my reports and all),jbuilder (for java programming needed for my project), vb6 (the occasional programming bit when i was distracted and thought of something to change in 1 of my 140 different projects, such as xdcc download manager annoying me again ^^),paint shop pro (taking screenshots to add to my report),2-3 msn windows (ppl bugging me for once, that's a lot for me, usually noone starts a conversation with me .. wonder why ),yahoo messenger (to use voice conference with my friends (just the 2),few notepads (usually for viewing source code of webpages or todo list or something),percobol (had to make cobol stuff for projects), 2-3 internet explorers (yay for tabs, else there would be 10+, had to look up stuff, randomly view favs, etc),thunderbird (check my inbox for sporadically rare emails),azureus & xdcc download manager (for episodes downloading) .. and that's about it
»Purge Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 I didn't. MSPaint was up because I was going to paste a picture of another screenshot. And if you look at the Continuum window it shows most of my names logged in (multiclient 20+).
rootbear75 Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 And if you look at the Continuum window it shows most of my names logged in (multiclient 20+).you sir have no life
Hakaku Posted June 26, 2008 Report Posted June 26, 2008 Purge just doing what he can to save SubSpace!
Samapico Posted June 27, 2008 Author Report Posted June 27, 2008 ROFL wow Have 3 columns of excel files... 4 NOW OMG LOL I'm running a macro that prints spec sheets ... and it has to open a bunch of excel files to print them... forgot to make it close them after lol. I just generated 135 pdf files in like... 3 minutes WOOHOO FINALLY(printing a paper version automatically was easy... but printing pdfs was a pain in the !@#$%^&*; you can't specify the pdf filename from Excel... you have to make it print a postscript file (which you can name), then throw it in Acrobat Distiller to make a pdf) Also, all these excel files were generated programmatically (sp?) from an equipment list
»Purge Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 Is all that for school or something? Why are you studying in the summer?
Samapico Posted June 27, 2008 Author Report Posted June 27, 2008 for work well, internship (lol I typoed 'intern!@#$%^&*' ...), so it's indirectly for school but anywah, our university has 3 semesters per year, 3x 4 months, so we have a summer semester. But our program includes 3 paid internships I printed these things today at work, but I wasn't able to print the pdfs for the reasons stated above, and had to finish that tonight... And now I realise that even if I wanted to, I couldn't have done it at work; cause I had to go through Adobe Distiller, and I don't have it at work, and I'm not admin on my computer either (yet)
Dav Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 paid isnt bad, you get a decent CV and money in one
Drake7707 Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 hmmm you could have used cutepdf writer (virtual printer), I think it has an option to save automatically the default name, which is the !@#$%^&*le of the do!@#$%^&*ent or in excel the filename
Samapico Posted June 27, 2008 Author Report Posted June 27, 2008 by default, most of the pdf printers do use the name of the file by default. However, I needed to change that; I needed it to have the name of the excel SHEET, not the excel workbook. And with all the googling I did, this was the only solution that worked. Oh, and cutepdf sucks I remember printing some office do!@#$%^&*ents and they always came out wrong and full of glitches. I trust Adobe Profesionnal much more
Drake7707 Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 paid isn't bad, you get a decent CV and money in one Ah god!@#$%^&*it, i have to do an internship next year 2nd semester ( feb-end may) and i don't get paid anything :/. I hope i can at least bring in the costs of transportation
