nolan123 Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 whenever i try to send a file it doesnt work, it worked fine b4 i had my computer reformated, and yes i have them saved as a .lvl file in my cont folder.
Samapico Posted June 16, 2008 Report Posted June 16, 2008 You mean *putfile somefile.lvlright? And by 'does not work', what do you mean? What message do you get? Are you hosting your own server? If so, you don't need to use *putfile at all, you can just copy-paste the file to your server folder. Try to be more accurate when describing your problems... And I'm moving this to tech support To mods: We shall rename this topic when we know what the problem is =/
»Purge Posted June 16, 2008 Report Posted June 16, 2008 Maybe you're getting that C2S stuck error? Make sure you're in spec when you use *putfile and are logged in as a fully authoritative sysop.

So being in spec would help avoid that problem?
nolan123 Posted June 16, 2008 Author Report Posted June 16, 2008 sorry, i should have been more clear. I meant when i try to send it to someone else... it just says unable to send "filename.lvl". and i am in spec. I know it is a problem on my end cause i have tried sending it to multiple people.
»Purge Posted June 16, 2008 Report Posted June 16, 2008 Are you using the ?sendfile command for ASSS zones (like Hyperspace)? I'm guessing you are PMing the person with "?sendfile name.lvl", so make sure that name.lvl exists in your Continuum folder.
nolan123 Posted June 16, 2008 Author Report Posted June 16, 2008 ya, it does. like i said, i had no trouble doing it before i reformated my comp
