CRe Posted June 6, 2008 Report Posted June 6, 2008 Each climbed for a purpose. The first one climbed for Global Warming and the second one climbed for Malaria. I thought it was a pretty good way to gain attention. See: http://video.on.nytimes.com/?fr_story=f2b2...931763e671fbe77 Only shows first guy.
»Lynx Posted June 6, 2008 Report Posted June 6, 2008 I'd understand if they climbed because of something that doesn't get much attention.. but.. Global Warming? -Lynx
Cancer+ Posted June 6, 2008 Report Posted June 6, 2008 That is stupid. They obviously didn't get much attention if I just heard about it on a Subspace forum. The idiots could have died. Do you think someone is actually going to say "huh, that guys climbed NY building for global warming...I now care about global warming." No, it's not going to happen. And even if by some miracle that did happen, it would be some crazy guy that doesn't matter. It won't catch on. If he wanted to people to know about it, gather a bunch of people and have a protest somewhere.
Samapico Posted June 6, 2008 Report Posted June 6, 2008 If he wanted to people to know about it, gather a bunch of people and have a protest somewhere. You wouldn't hear about a protest on global warming :/Not even on a Subspace forum These kind of protests happen much more than some guy climbing a building edit: pft that's BS, the building has rods all over the place that make climbing easyedit2: Oh well, he did it times on several buildings, guess he's no newbie...
AstroProdigy Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 I heard about both of them on the news many times yet this is the first time I heard they were doing it for a cause.
darkhosis Posted June 12, 2008 Report Posted June 12, 2008 it's cold outside and the wolves are after me .. because of global warming
