L.C. Posted June 3, 2008 Report Posted June 3, 2008 For some reason I can't get BlueT Mobile Suit: Gemini to appear in the directory or zone listing of sscentral.sscuservers.net. It shows up perfectly fine in the following directory servers: dir.cz.sshq.net, ssdir.playsubspace.com, warpath.hlrse.net. It fails to show up in the following directory server: sscentral.sscuservers.net. For the last 45 minutes BlueT Mobile Suit: Gemini has had the following settings in its server.ini:[Directory] IP=sscentral.sscuservers.net Still no sign of the zone in sscentral.sscuservers.net's zone listing.
Solitron Posted June 3, 2008 Report Posted June 3, 2008 Any swift response to this question is greatly appreciated!
»Lynx Posted June 3, 2008 Report Posted June 3, 2008 (edited) Only downloads from the first directory server I list. Presumably, more are only for backup reasons. I've got no idea why it's not listing though. Weird. Try adding the actual IP to the directory list instead. 195.250.184.251 -Lynx EDIT:On an unrelated note, is that directory server still in Estonia, or has PriitK allocated the IP to be moved with the new servers? I know he did move the servers some years ago, I'd be surprised if they were still running. Edited June 3, 2008 by Lynx
Confess Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 Check to make sure the namepassword = the same for all your other zones.
L.C. Posted June 4, 2008 Author Report Posted June 4, 2008 Check to make sure the namepassword = the same for all your other zones.I thought that had to be unique for each zone... Ok!
»Purge Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 The name password checks the prefix, not the entire zone name (BlueT in your case).
L.C. Posted June 4, 2008 Author Report Posted June 4, 2008 Well having the same NamePassword across all BlueT zones isn't changing anything. As you can see, you'll only find Jackpot SVS and BlueT Hosting in the directory server listing for sscentral.sscuservers.net; same results as before.
»Purge Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 Can it be because the SSC biller is down? The directory server and the biller are probably hosted on the same server.
rootbear75 Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 seems to work now... just ported all the settings into a new "zone" and it works... word
L.C. Posted June 7, 2008 Author Report Posted June 7, 2008 I don't know why the zone was acting funny like that, but bumping the zone up to the next zone slot and carefully merging the server.ini/cfg seemed to do the trick. :X
Solitron Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 Yay! Problem is solved. Feel free to lock this topic now.
