Dadoc Posted May 22, 2008 Report Posted May 22, 2008 I think even the longest base currently in use takes only about 20-30 secto reach the fr from the entrance (if you are a fairly decent pilot with a fairly decent ship). Would a shorter flag timer make better sense now that the bases are so small? Quote
vetta64 Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 I think due to the fact that ppl are getting better ship the games would be better with a good size base. Right now base 1 and 5 are decent lengths but could be just a little longer. I just dont understand why there need to be 7 different bases when in any given set there are really only two or three that get used with any regularity. Quote

QUAX Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 The entire arena could be smaller and it might reduce a little lag as well. There is a lot of area that never gets used. Quote
Dr Brain Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 The entire arena could be smaller and it might reduce a little lag as well. There is a lot of area that never gets used. Smaller arenas have greater lag, because there are more players on your radar at any time. Quote
QUAX Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 I see. I thought lag was also increased by excessive tiling as well. I'm still learning so I may be off on that one. In one zone I played in a long time ago, they talked about doubling the tiles around the border to try and prevent people from nueting flags out side of the arena but the idea was shot down because it was said that doing that would increase zone lag. »D1st0rt Posted May 24, 2008 Report Posted May 24, 2008 It increases fps lag on your computer because it requires additional processing but not network lag. Quote
