I don't think there's a way to manually reset names... currently you can only set email once, a practice that was implemented to discourage name-trading. Perhaps the SSC Operators would be able to better assist you. Quote
Samapico Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 Unused accounts are resetted automatically after some time... the time depends of the usage of the name. Names only used once are usually reset after a few months. But maybe some ssc ops can reset names, I don't know... Quote
»Lynx Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 The ratio of usage to reset is ridicilious, so I don't think you will have much luck there. The best thing you can do is just ask everybody to be careful with their passwords, the SSC Ops may help you, however I am under the !@#$%^&*umption that they will be rather busy to do this. You will also have to provide significant proof for each user name that it belongs to you, and I'm not sure that you knowing the password alone will serve this. This may cause further problems if you've recently changed your computer, or if you cannot access the e-mail address which you primarially set for the usernames. Good Luck, SSCouncil are a useful bunch, although there isn't enough of the guys on the job. Quote
Dav Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 I very much dout this will be done but it will do no harm to ask. Other then that just have to hope noone forgets their pw. Quote
