Logged on today, Rareitanium banned me literally for no reason. Anyone know how I get an explanation for this, or get this undone? This is getting a little stupid, as I was banned a few days ago by Arnk Dylie for making an alt called 'Arnk Dylien', logging on and saying 'I admit it, we need to revert this item set' once and immediately logging off. That's all. Somebody's ego bruised a little bit?

 

Anyway, I doubt there are any impartial or fair moderators in Hyperspace that will actually help me out here, so I don't expect much. An explanation, at least, would be cool. I'll even take the inevitable arrogant/condescending answer, if that's all that's available.

thats actually a PERFECTLY good reason to get banned.

One of the top rules to get banned by is impersonating staff members.

 

if even banned mockers as well, just not impersonators..

someone came into DBZ a while back under the name "wootbeer"

instant week ban (well, i didnt specify a time so it was a week)

It is unacceptable to have names that could be mistaken for staff, especially when new players may not know the exact names of staff or of the existence of ?listmod (and of course most do not as only a few zones use ASSS..) It's a security thing.

 

Dunno why Rare banned you today though if you didn't do it again, you got kicked the other day for like 45 seconds at most just to make sure you switched your name.

Yeah, I get that, and figured it was risky to spoof Arnk. That's why I didn't say anything the first time.

Haha in HS you learn your lesson the hard way. I've done some stupid things and gotten banned for that too by rare (I'm pretty !@#$%^&* sure it was him). Honestly if it was my zone I would do the same and its a free game so I'm not complaining.

Actually you got banned for impersonation, time: 1 day

 

Then you came in as another alias, re-ban time: 10 days

 

then you came in again 3 days later, re-ban time: 10 days

 

 

All in all I think I was pretty lenient.
