Just wondering if anyone found a continuum-compatible antivirus and firewall program. The sticky shows stuff you can't use, but not stuff that does work.

Heck, I'm going to test stuff to see if it works and make a list. Then they should sticky it =)

Well, it depends on what OS you're running. 99% of cases where firewalls block Continuum happen on Windows XP. Since 0.40 though, a lot of problems (if not most) should have been fixed. But always remember to add Continuum to the exceptions list of your firewall(s), and check for other issues such as DEP.

When I had McAfee on XP though, I never really encountered any problems, except the occasional unresponsiveness due to 0.39pr1's "security" implementations. On Vista however, I can run any antivirus programs or firewalls without any problems at all.

i havent had an issue w/ continuum and sophos except for the fact that sophos thought that continuum was a virus.

apparently the same unpacking tool/installer used had all the trademarks of an installer that virus makers used.

I quickly sent an email off to sophos AV, and they got it fixed w/in a few days

I've yet to find an AV that DOESNT work with continuum

Free AV Confirmed to work with Continuum.

Anti-Vir http://www.free-av.com/

AVG http://free.grisoft.com/

Paid AV Confirmed to work

Norman http://www.norman.com/

Norton (but dont use it lol)

F-Prot http://www.f-prot.com/

Alot of problems people blame on AV here acctually are caused by spyware infecting there computer. Which is why reinstalling windows "fixes" the problem.
