QUAX Posted May 12, 2008 Report Posted May 12, 2008 Has anyone thought of maybe putting ammo depots in the bases? Also make it so you dont lose your bounty when you purchase ammo. The depots could be placed right out side the entrance and then another one in the flag room. Make them non-safe zones so there is no way a lanc can go afk and let people summon back to the flag room etc. This would allow higher bounties for attackers and defenders. Quote
Dr Brain Posted May 12, 2008 Report Posted May 12, 2008 Our current push is to shorten flag games. Helping bountying in bases defeats that. Quote
QUAX Posted May 13, 2008 Author Report Posted May 13, 2008 Our current push is to shorten flag games. Helping bountying in bases defeats that. Why is there a push to shorten flag games? There is less money to be made that way. If the Jackpot grew larger then I could see that being profitable but currently a quick flag game doesn't pay very much. Quote
nolan123 Posted May 15, 2008 Report Posted May 15, 2008 "shorten flag games" why would you want to do that? all that does is greatly deacrease pop, which is no a good thing... but i like that ammo depot in base idea, but it would be very hard to do, i guess you could have bty lower by 100 in bases so that its not that cheap, or even make bty lower buy 125, or even 150. Helping bountying in bases defeats that. see what people complaining about uneven basing had led to? most people now have rush ships/items, basing is more fair than before and is alot more popular, and short flag games will just keep pop low(long flag games usually draws most of the people to play) Quote
aquarius Posted May 15, 2008 Report Posted May 15, 2008 I'll admit it was rather fun when it was unbalanced, and there was a lot more noobs willing to feed me. Quote
linger Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 they still do if you get the right flag game going Quote
op2rules Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 What Aquarius said. Long flag games > Short. Point Finale. Also when its mixed up with flags all over the place and people ruining it thats when skill comes in and differs the kids from the men. But w/e like I always say. Free game so why complain? It won't always be PERFECT Quote

aquarius Posted May 17, 2008 Report Posted May 17, 2008 All I know is that -something- changed, well, everything changed. But there used to be people flagging 24 hours a day in Hyperspace and now it is dead at night. I doubt it has anything to do with planetary alignment, must be the changes. No more large bounties? That was one of the most interesting things about the zone. Sure we can still bounty but it takes much more effort with minimal reward. We shouldn't shorten flag games, we should shorten bases. Make bases extremely simple to attack. Make it so that it's nearly impossible to hold the flags in a safe spot for however long the timer is. !@#$%^&*, make the timer three times as long! This way, games last longer, more money is made, and pure skill and teamwork will be needed to win a flag game in an uncontrollable base. My thoughts. Quote
vetta64 Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 I know its a long shot but there really should only be like 2-3 bases as part of center, and scarth the HT all together, that way people can go back and forth from center no problem/ Just make the bases far enaough apart that you still need a lanc to get there, Or maybe one HT tunnel that runs straight toard a base. Like I said its a long shot, but I think there are too many bases Quote
James1293 Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 scarth the HT all together...Woo, Hyperspace without any hyperspace! Now we can call it "Normalspace" or something.Like I said its a long shot, but I think there are too many basesWhat is wrong with a lot of bases? Quote

There aren't any more flag games/population during the night solely because of the new ammo system (which is re!@#$%^&*ed to begin with). Ammo costs our hard earned monies (a total waste of our hard earned monies) and when people don't stick around for the population to grow, the reward remains at $0 per kill. Waste of ammo and waste of time. Quote
9vgnc3eZ01 Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 (edited) If you want the attractive part of old HS back, bring back item spamming. Repels and bursts are what must go infinite stock. You can leave the rest of the settings exactly the way it is (and still get the desired effect anyway). I thought part of HS was those reps and bursts in a base game. (But thors got to stay on ammo, period.) Edited May 21, 2008 by Relos Quote
