LVL Tester?

Just an idea, but wouldn't it be neat if there was an addon that allowed you to play single player by loading a .lvl file?

It would help with generating ideas for maps, and perhaps zone testing if the server is still being developed, or down.

And it could let an average player make his own maps, without the complicity of setting up a server.

 

So how about it?

I don't understand why this was cut out of Continuum. It makes it easier for developing settings/maps; but, can also help new player's get used to playing the game.

you already can, edit the zones/Single Player/ folder and it works just like a server's files

.. woulda been nice :\ like a practice zone on the zone list, where you can tweak sets/ maps/ gfx and ext.. which requires no extra 'work'

Yeah, but it has a super-low frame rate, you can't fire guns and bombs, you can't test warp regions, and sometimes when going through a 2-tile-width corridor, you go through the wall

In Discretion or Continuum? Discretion will not play on my computer anyway. When I click play, it doesn't do anything...

interesting. could you run it from the command line to see if there is any output? Are you using Vista?
