CRe Posted May 13, 2008 Report Posted May 13, 2008 maybe you could add a "What is Continuum?" link next to "Download now!" that brings you to getcontinuum.com or somewhere else that explains what the game is. If someone stumples upon this forum, they're not very likely to just download the game if they don't have any idea what the game is like. Yeh, that is a great idea or Download now! can take you to some page with the info and link to download it with.

A link to a page like GetContinuum.com, that explains what the game is while retaining a really obvious download button, would be ideal to have somewhere on there.
Samapico Posted May 14, 2008 Report Posted May 14, 2008 Dunno, there already are all these Community sites up there... If we add too many buttons in that toolbar, it screws up for lower resolution people. Try resizing your window horizontally and see what happens with the buttons...
rootbear75 Posted May 14, 2008 Report Posted May 14, 2008 (edited) lawl: minimum resolution: 815px Edited May 14, 2008 by rootbear75
Samapico Posted May 14, 2008 Report Posted May 14, 2008 it goes over the other buttons for me (buttons just under like 'My !@#$%^&*istant', '0 new messages', etc)
JDS Posted May 14, 2008 Author Report Posted May 14, 2008 on ip.board 2.3 skin , that pic beside it really catches your eye, just the right touch$
Samapico Posted May 15, 2008 Report Posted May 15, 2008 Nice... I like that search bar It lacks the word 'Continuum' somewhere on there though lol I guess Polix is still working with it... the 'search' button keeps changing everytime I refresh
CRe Posted May 15, 2008 Report Posted May 15, 2008 It looks messed up on getcontinuum.com so I'm removing it for now.
PoLiX Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 can't fix what I can't see isn't working. Edit: nvm, broken on ssdl also. Will fix in the morning. Think I'm going to recode it all, cause it's always given issues with css, being it is all just css divs.
Hakaku Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 Works fine for me. Although I'm surprised, since I've used Google's custom SE before, but couldn't get it to search ssforums.
Dav Posted May 17, 2008 Report Posted May 17, 2008 i really like the search bar, should be very good for all the community sites
Trained Posted May 17, 2008 Report Posted May 17, 2008 Im also getting a "This page is not re-directing properly" message..
»Purge Posted May 18, 2008 Report Posted May 18, 2008 I get the same error that rootbear gets, which is what Dav and Trained are also getting.
Dav Posted May 18, 2008 Report Posted May 18, 2008 a search for subspace returns the following: http://www.google.com/cse?cx=0070603958482...ent=google-coop

Samapico Posted May 18, 2008 Report Posted May 18, 2008 wha... that's weird lol I can search for 'subspace' just fine Which browsers are you guys using?
PoLiX Posted May 18, 2008 Report Posted May 18, 2008 good ol FF... I remember why I no longer use it...
Dav Posted May 18, 2008 Report Posted May 18, 2008 FF is the win THing is things have to work on it given its share of the market
PoLiX Posted May 18, 2008 Report Posted May 18, 2008 Well, FF broke what would of been the new SSCentral, Bajan's design. It doesn't read css and divs the same way IE does, and neither read it the same way W3C set out, although sad as it is, IE gets closer than FF. I didn't believe it until a buddy of mine showed me some code, using full W3C standards, and Opera displayed it perfect, IE almost perfect, and FF all !@#$%^&*ed up. Yes there is ways to be W3C standards and have all 3 work, but not as cleanly and easily done as he had it originally. Had to add in like 4 more variables into the CSS, and move a div around. Haven't used FF since.
