Dav Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 would it be possible for it to check to see weather a name is available, the give the option to try a new one or add a random number? perhaps this would make it more friendly to those who don't like the idea of being name546341 as well as those that do not care.

(unless you have that much free time on your hands and compile a full list of usernames)

(unless you have that much free time on your hands and compile a full list of usernames)How about some predetermined account (CTM040INSTALLER_) logs in some SSC zone, sends ?find 'username' , and checks if it is available? That would be pretty complicated, since it would actually require the installer to have the whole login protocol and such... There could even be a dummy SSC zone which allows subspace clients to simplify things, maybe.
