Guest Johnny Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 It says Unable to retrieve new zone listing. Make sure you are using one or more valid directory server addresses (example: sscentral.subspace.net) Also, make sure you are currently connected to the internetI have the Directory Server List as normal and my internet is good I don't understand why it's not working...
rootbear75 Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 Are you at school or work? Are you in a network like a university?Because if you are in one of these places, it is a possibility they are blocking ports.Check your AV, firewall settings.
Samapico Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 Make sure you havesscentral.sscuservers.net ssdir.playsubspace.com as your directory servers list
»Dav Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 if sama suggestion does not work please provide the following info: What version of windows do you have? Are you on a network (many computers share the internet) or are you directly connected (just your computer online)Is this a new problem or have you been able to connect previously?
Guest Tira Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 I have the exact same problem; Unable to retrieve zone listing. I have tried all suggestions in the FAQ connection thread. Running on XP This is the 3rd PC on my home network I am trying to connect with. The other 2 connected just fine. I have no Firewall on this particular PC, using Zone Alarm on the network, the other 2 connect fine. Tried the 2nd non admin account idea - Created a new (Windows) user to play Continuum withDisable visual themes. Turned on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only. Turned off all AV and FW progs.
rootbear75 Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 use this list: auto.subdir.net auto.subdir.org ssdir.playsubspace.com
