»D1st0rt Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 Quick question, how will entries of 5 create an even bracket
Unix Posted April 29, 2008 Author Report Posted April 29, 2008 Not everyone is used in the lineup, three people out of the five are used if they use the minimum five.
RoN Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 > I asked the squad and everybody loves this so, we have some changes and we know what everybody gonna do.>> lvlelvlo: Free For All>> klammy: Sig DT>> AiG: Non-Sig DT>> And some nice players if someone cant come!>> Spidernl Dallas Rise of Nations OR lcuky1.>> Everybody wanna duel but we let the best play.>> Any question? Unix Posted May 5, 2008 Author Report Posted May 5, 2008 A special is a special, if I ban cloak, why shouldnt I ban xradar? Just makes things easier so I'm not discriminating against anything.
Syrith Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 Restricted Item List:-String of Pearls-Energy Scanner Those restrictions aren't reasonable.
Unix Posted May 5, 2008 Author Report Posted May 5, 2008 Energy scanner makes it so people arent lame and just wait for you to be low on energy, you now have to think and estimate if your enemy is low or not SoP allows people to chase more freely. I'm not restricting mines, I'm just restricting SoP, so you can still mine, just use a different bomb.
Syrith Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 Then I expect for my mines and energy scanner to be replaced with other items (for the duration of the DT) at no cost to me and replaced again with SoP and energy scanner.
Unix Posted May 5, 2008 Author Report Posted May 5, 2008 Yeah, that's the plan - But to make sure that happens, you have to email me your ship configuration so I know exactly what to replace at that time and what you want it to be turned into.

omni Posted May 6, 2008 Report Posted May 6, 2008 energy scanner is useful there are too many eaters, it'll hit on your screen, but not theirs, and you wont know. and about waiting for enemy's energy to go low, then the enemy is stupid and wont win anyway.
Aishi Posted May 8, 2008 Report Posted May 8, 2008 I agree with the SoP rules, but energy scanner should be allowed. If this is truly a "duel tournament", then it will be 1v1, and If someone is stupid enough to spam enough guns and miss untill they are at "low energy", then they deserve to lose that duel. What omni said is about right
Unix Posted May 8, 2008 Author Report Posted May 8, 2008 The point is, if you know your opponent has full energy or low energy you'll play different. If you dont know for sure, you'll play different. The point is to make sure you dont play so different that it stops you from chasing after the opponent.
omni Posted May 8, 2008 Report Posted May 8, 2008 when you play a javenemys eating ur bomb is very important, especially in a duelwithout energy scanner, you cant tell
Unix Posted May 8, 2008 Author Report Posted May 8, 2008 Lag is apart of the game and your opponent has the same problem. Not only that, if you're depending on your bomb all the time you probably wont make it to the finals anyways.
rootbear75 Posted May 8, 2008 Report Posted May 8, 2008 Lag is apart of the game and your opponent has the same problem. Not only that, if you're depending on your bomb all the time you probably wont make it to the finals anyways.wow.. so bias... just because someone is dependant on their bomb means nothing
Unix Posted May 8, 2008 Author Report Posted May 8, 2008 In a zone where it's not one hit kill, it doesn make a difference if you're dependent on making your shots count. Btw, guns also have this problem if not more so than bombs. Bullets are smaller and you never know of those bullets actually hit or not, at least with some of the bombs you have proximity so they'll always cause some damage, but bullets are either you got it or you dont.
omni Posted May 8, 2008 Report Posted May 8, 2008 it isnt that important if an enemy eats a few guns, but eating a bomb, without the jav knowing, can be the deciding factor between winning and losing a duel. given that HS naturally is a laggy zone, its an even bigger problem.
Unix Posted May 8, 2008 Author Report Posted May 8, 2008 Bullets are just as important as bombs when it comes to killing an enemy. as for HS being a laggy zone, it's one of the least laggiest zones out there. Compared to other zones HS almost feels lag free. When was the last time you heard someone lagging through an enemy cluster or an enemy skipping past? It doesn't happen all that much
Matrim Cauthon Posted May 9, 2008 Report Posted May 9, 2008 last time i saw someone lagging, they laged until they were invisible and then they became an invisible, invincible summon lanc
Suicide_Run Posted May 9, 2008 Report Posted May 9, 2008 Lag isnt just the server's side anyways. Even if server isnt lagging (and yes, sometime it lags...causes tons of ppl to ploss like made), the client (player) might lag leading to eating.
Unix Posted May 9, 2008 Author Report Posted May 9, 2008 Unix have you ever had a jav?Yes, and I've also seen other javs play. Btw, WBs use bombs too. And Mat, I know which lanc you're talking about - That was some kind of bug, not because of lag. I was there
