PoLiX Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 Debating this... But here is the list: PCCrysis - Brand New, Never InstalledCall of Duty 4Call of Duty 2F.E.A.R.BattleField2Swat 4Quake 4Quake 2 - Original CD - Probably Freebee w/ quake4Simcity 4Simcity 3000 - Probably freebeeGTA Vice City - Probably freebee SteamYes, my steam account...Half-Life2 w/ Deathmatch & Lost coast of courseHalf-Life2: Episode OneHalf-Life2: Episode TwoCounter-Strike: SourceDay of Defeat: SourceLost Planet w/ Brand New Unused Install CDs if wantedPortalTeam Fortress 2 w/ CD Case Shipped if wantedZen of Sodoku I've got a lot of other !@#$%^&* going on in life, and really would rather just sell this stuff off rather then it go unused. Especially Crysis and Lost Planet, JUST bought them like a week or 2 ago. Only to find out my PC which is above the requirements, even recommended, can't run them worth !@#$%^&*. Lost Planet found out 1st hand, but buddy who can barely play Lost Planet can't play Crysis (bought it same time), and has something beefier than mine even. Figured not even worth installing and trying, waste of time I figure. So if you think you can buy and run this game, think again. Maybe 2x its minimum. Anyways... I figure whole lot for, uh, $300? I dunno, haven't added it up yet. But this is really a gamer's dream here from what most of my friends have told me, but they ain't got the cash.
»Purge Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 yeah, I should sell my PS2 games... not much of a future collection item.
rootbear75 Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 well, if ur freebie-ing Simcity 3k, and Vice city, ill pay for shipping + an extra thank you cost.
Smong Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 There's a Lost Planet demo that you could have tried, didn't work on my machine but I just !@#$%^&*umed that was because it's old, maybe the game is more advanced than I imagined.
Incomplete Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 That is one of the reasons I don't play games on the PC much anymore, games are starting to need juicy machines to play them on, so you would need to keep upgrading your PC, but if you buy a 360 or PS3 then there are no upgrades needed. I completed lost planet on the 360 a few days after it came out. (which was like 8 months ago)
Samapico Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 Some interesting stuff... but I already have SimCity 4, and Half-Life 2 + ep1 + ep2... not original or legal copies, but still
UltimaWeaponX Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 Polix, I may know a few friends who want HL:episode 2 and stuff.. Do you have the Orange Box? I'm !@#$%^&*uming that you have it since you have Portal, HL:ep2, and Team Fortress 2. Are you planning on selling it altogether though? I don't think my friends want Sim City 4....
PoLiX Posted April 23, 2008 Author Report Posted April 23, 2008 Would sell my steam account seperate. And yes, the orange box. Sadly can't sell steam games each seperately for obvious reasons. That is one of the reasons I don't play games on the PC much anymore, games are starting to need juicy machines to play them on, so you would need to keep upgrading your PC, but if you buy a 360 or PS3 then there are no upgrades needed. I completed lost planet on the 360 a few days after it came out. (which was like 8 months ago)Yeah, in the long run I may get a 360. But right now, just sellin some stuff off.
PoLiX Posted April 23, 2008 Author Report Posted April 23, 2008 Tell him $150 Shipped. Saves him ~$50-60, maybe more. I'm willin to budge some. Also forgot to add F.E.A.R. and Battlefield2 to that list.
UltimaWeaponX Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 Wait, how much is it just for steam accounts alone?
PoLiX Posted April 23, 2008 Author Report Posted April 23, 2008 Steam is free. But the games, when I added em all up taking $5-$10 off each game, was ~$130. Add Shipping and Box and all, I figured $150. There's a Lost Planet demo that you could have tried, didn't work on my machine but I just !@#$%^&*umed that was because it's old, maybe the game is more advanced than I imagined.Funny enough... the demos did work on both our pcs... But was once we bought the full game, that we found his couldn't even run it. I figured I'd still give it a shot, and again, it didn't wanna run well either. I can theoretically play it, but it runs pretty slow. Sound is off and all.
UltimaWeaponX Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 !@#$%^&* ok, I don't think he'll want it then. He was thinking more about just TF2/Orange Box. My fault for not understanding sooner, I should've realized that you can't sell individual games on steam (like you said earlier)
jacob hunter! Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 LOL in order to run crysis WELL you need a truely elite gaming computer like the dell xps m1730. It has dual geforce 8800m gtx video cards and ageia physx processor. ohh it costs 5k but is well worth it if you can aford that comp and get a new upgrade like every 2 years
Suicide_Run Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 You should try googling a game's requirement if you dont normally do so next time polix. That way, you might be able to prevent problems with not meeting the requirement. Btw, sometimes the demo has lower requirements than the normal game, guess you learned that the hard way =(
PoLiX Posted April 24, 2008 Author Report Posted April 24, 2008 Did that. Went to a 2 different sites for system requirements. 1 which has always served me well, systemrequirementslab.com I think it is, always just google it. Also per side of both cases, I am fine to run it. One thing someone mentioned is it just may be the fact my hd is slow (5400rpm sata). My video card, everything they said they know people who run it w/ what I got, but my hd is slower, and I have 1gb less ram. So is very well possible the ram and hd speed could be doing it.
