Hi, for those of you also interested in helping please vote for Continuum at the Top100Arena.com --

http://mmorpg.top100arena.com/site.asp?i=15663

I think you need to put up a link on http://www.sscentral.com (see http://www.archbattle.com/) and then have people click on those and vote in order to get the type of votes needed to move up in the rankings for that site. Also I think if you don't enter some code on sscentral.com, they'll remove continuum from their site, from the FAQ:

Q. Do I have to insert the HTML code in my site?

A. Yes. If you do not enter the HTML code within 3 days of account activation, then your site will be removed.

Yea, I noticed that after I posted so were not gonna go that route, there goes $18 lol. Anywho, i'll just end up buying a banner space on the main page once it becomes available smile.gif

as far as suggestions go, get ana or ws or someone to make it look really good - maybe emphasise the fact that it's FREE in BIG letters or people will think it's just some product you're selling - maybe include a list of quotes about how great it is.

I wish alpha still existed, and you could direct people there. If I had time, I'd create a new beginner zone, but i don't - would be good if you could link this project to a new zone for new people.

Basically, just make it SIMPLE; these are some phrases that might work

SubSpace - the massIVELY MULTIPLAYER FREE SPACE SHOOTER

Meet people from all over the world - then kill them!

Advanced chat client attached

Play in hundreds of differently-themed warzones - take control of the death star or engage in trench warfare

High intensity - often several kills a minute!

Then scrap the instructions - just link to getcontinuum.com and put your name

overall, though, it's a brilliant idea and all you really need to do is highlight the fact that it's 100% free in enormous writing otherwise it'll just be trashed like all the other flyers people get.

good luck,

Alright, I bought Get-Continuum.com and GetCont.com. I was thinking about setting up a basic how to page since GetContinuum.com is a bit oudated. Also, I was gonna use this site to put the buttons that alot of the advertising sites require, what you guys think?

Edit:

For some reason top100arena.com approved my add anyway, we already have 26 clicks and are ranked 68th, so if you guys could click the vote button and rate Continuum 10 we will be in good shape smile.gif

Alright, so here we stand. For those of you who PM'd me your addresses the cards will be sent out no later than Tuesday. I have all intentions of sending them tommorow but i've been up all night working on this !@#$%^&* site so I can start slapping ad buttons on there to generate some clicks. Well, this is what ive come up with, its not much, but it'll work for me.

http://www.get-continuum.com

http://www.getcont.com (alternative)

Feel free to blurt them out as you like smile.gif.

A bit late but why are you making a 2nd getcontinuum.com website? Isn't that a bit redundant?

I still have contact with Wonderer and it seems that getcontinuum.com is going to be updated more regularly soon.

P.S. Why have the domains redirect to kevlambert.net, why not host it directly under get-continuum.com? blum.gif

I think because of Wonderer being difficult to contact, Koenn.

That is good to hear.

The situation as I know it is as follows: CRe>, Aceflyer (myself), and Trained wanted FTP access to getcontinuum.com so that we could update the links and maybe even redesign/improve the layout a bit. The reason we wanted FTP access was because getcontinuum.com has clearly not been updated in a good long time and most of the links are just broken. There are zones listed there that don't even exist as such anymore. We felt that, as getcontinuum.com is one of the central websites for Continuum, updating it would help with our efforts to promote Continuum.

CRe> established contact with Wonderer, and after extensive negotiations (or so I heard), and getting quite a few (around 10, I think) community leaders and zone owners to vouch for us, Wonderer still refused to give us FTP access, and stated that he would only do so if we got most of the Council to support us. While I believed that that was theoretically tractable (even though it'd probably take a while), Trained at this point got upset, and decided that we might as well make a separate website that we could update.

He didn't refuse, There is another reason we did not get it.

The point in me doing this was to fill this site with advertisements, which I didn't think Wonderer would like that idea to much. As I stated before I didn't think he would just hand over the FTP at the request, and he didnt, so I just saved myself some time and whipped this one up real quick, and started doing internet advertising =)
