Recently, i've been on a torrent splurge and been downloading a bunch of stand-up comedian shows.

 

My favorites seem to be Lewis Black and Gabriel Iglesias.

Jerry Seinfeld is probably, in my opinion, one of the few 'legendary' comedians of our generation. Him and Chris Rock are the two that come to mind, when I try to think of truly great jokemakers. Most who have been listed in this thread are very well-known for their stand-up. And Jerry Seinfeld probably has great stand-up material even today, but doesn't seem to get the recognition he deserves because he has a reputation of being "clean".

 

Another name to throw in: Louis C.K.
