The master of Thirdspace has returned, MILLENNIUMMAN!!!! yes.gif We are glad to have him back and able to work on Thirdspace again.

Here are the current things going on in Thirdspace:

1)Fixing Server "Host" Button but the server does work.

2)Weasel still not working (Crashes PC) so it's still not included in ThirdSpace atm. wtf.gif

3)Tweaking some GFX to make this thing even better!

4)Still considering wether or not to have a Veiw / Walkthrough inside the ship. yahoo.gif

Here is the current ThirdSpace client (NO SERVERS YET): ThirdSpace But you can host one yourself.

This game make me very dissy :(

Good work and all, but I find it easy to get lost so maybe some work on the radar. The thrust meter is hard to read and its hard to tell how far targets are and if my bullets are even hitting them.

interior of the ship? what significance would that have? it would be cool if certain upgrades can be bought specifically for the interior of the ship as well as for the exterior only. blum.gif

I don't know. I was bored when I came up with the idea... but heh I guess it could add some cool new things to do with it.

BTW: There seems to be some weird crashes when connecting to other people... (Fairly Rare)

Okay listen up! So you want to host on ThirdSpace right? Well right now there was a mistake in the coding of the files so we have to do it this way!

1) Get this file.

TSConfig.xml

2)Insert it into you're ThirdSpace folder.

3)Run Thirdspace. Go to "Multiplayer" button and click "Host". Do you're stuff, but once you're ready take mouse off of any button, hit Tab two times, then hit enter.

Now you can host on Thirdspace, for the time being atleast this will be possible. yes.gif

lol. Interior of ship. Kind of have to disagree but also kind of think it has a potential. I honestly don't know what it would be useful for, and I don't think the Terrier is actually big enough to support hallways. Just look at the Warbird for example; it looks like only 1 or 2 pilots could fit into that ship's !@#$%^&*pit.

You can have a "crew" in the interior of the ship doing different things. One shooting, one flying, etc. Instead of having one person in each ship, have multiple people in one ship. Just an idea blum.gif

Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaab........

You're starting to worry me. The ships (original SS) are jet fighter sized, not capital ship sized. There are extra models in the ships directory that could use some hallway models (like the enterprise and borg cube) but all that's needed right now are the !@#$%^&*pits for the first 9 ships.

P.S. Can you make some fuzzy dice for the terrier !@#$%^&*pit to hang in the rear view mirror? smile.gif

Phong: Dramamine will fix that. I'll fix the txt for the thrust meter

Rootbear: Don't have access to it, but don't see why it shouldn't be. The same runtimes in DX are there in vista as in 98, ME and XP

Jab: Love the modeling, this would be great to replace the trenchwars 3d default map.

L.C.: three people actualy, two in the !@#$%^&*pit and a third optional turret tailgunner. if I had a Warbird in my driveway, I'd let you take rear gun turret.

BDwinsAlt:And my GF isn't friendly when she's had too much WINE :D

theres a lot of things that are xp compatible that dont work that well on vista, something about the UAC and the virtualization of programs... the same set of problems that Continuum .39 and before had.

Just asked a friend with Vista if I could try it on his PC in the morning. I'll give you the results when I return.

The concept has been around since 2001, the planning since 2002 and full development since late 2002.

The engine used to be 3DRad, by no means an open source engine, but a drag and drop engine. That engine however didn't do some of the things that were needed.
