PoLiX Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 Seems lately interest in it has been lost, and really, they are both at a point of high bugness that I don't care to continue trying to find and squash them, that is the developer's job, not the user's job. So until something solid [without bugs, loopholes, cheats, and errors] comes along, just going to focus a lot of time on the arcade. May even include a store where you can buy stuff for the forum and shiat. Also going to take the time I use to spend looking through the error files and the rpg code, and try and work on a sort of Zone Admin Cp, so they can control their individual forums, groups, etc. Would allow more of a owned forum feel for them. Looking into how to also allow them to do skin editing possibly, as I can set a skin to their forums currently (though none have asked), but that is about all they can get. Anyways, sorry, but just had to remove it finally. The developers coded fail safes in that actually caused more bugs than not, and I find it stupid. I know ours isn't the only IPB forum I've ran into, or forum period, where we don't use table prefixes on our tables. Well, both the RPGs we've used (which makes me think from a lot of their common code someone copied someone) say if there isn't a prefix, then set one. At the beginning of EVERY php file... not a header included file, or just 1 common file, EVERY file... Was a good run, over 1yr of fun...

Aileron Posted March 9, 2008 Report Posted March 9, 2008 Absolutely not. The exact problem is that neither of us has the time to do PHP development any more. Polix has a zone to run, and I have life that needs sorted out. We can't support any more half-baked buggy mods nor "cores which can be built upon". I did suggest that Polix put IBProBattle in and leave it. It might be simple, but it is stable.
