LostAndNotFound Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 (edited) A freak storm just passed through Texas. My mom said it dropped around 7-8 inches of snow in her area. They called it thundersnow. I'm in Arkansas right now and the storm will be here soon. My friend took a few pictures of the snowball he made. He's 6'5" - 230 and pretty strong. He wasn't able to push it anymore. He called a buddy of ours over to help move it. The buddy is 6'2" - 340 and he's about the break the 1,000 lbs deadlift barrier. That should be a big snowball when they're done. http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/5467/picture002sc8.jpg Friend's sister made a snowperson. http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/8190/yayysnownb5.jpgI told her it looks like it has testicles on its chin. I think it's supposed to be a goatee. Update:http://img169.imageshack.us/img169/7562/giantsnowballgi7.jpgThey weren't able to move it anymore. They even brought over the little brother (guy on top) of the guy on the right. Edited March 7, 2008 by a disgruntled Texan
X`terrania Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 That's nothing like the snowstorms we used to get here, but then again I'm in Canada. We're supposed to get 30-60cm of snow tomorrow evening, 30cm is about 11 inches? I think.
»1587200 Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 7-8 inches of snow? Pussies. I bet they closed school and signaled the tornado sirens too? Probably a state of emergency in Texas... "OMGOSH SNOW! AHHH! What we gonna do ma?!""Aww !@#$%^&*, grab yer sister and lets head on down to the storm cellar to have sex with eachother!" Welcome to every other week for me here in Minnesota and those in Canada. !@#$%^&* southern panzies....
»Purge Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 every other day for me. except it was 45 degrees today... weird.
Hakaku Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 Well for Texas I would guess it's a lot of snow. Here in Ottawa though, it's been nonstop snowing all winter, and even though spring is only 15 days away, there's still more snow heading this way. But I'm not complaining, asides the part where I have to shovel my walkway that has over 6 feet tall snowbanks, I like snow.
PoLiX Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 Blizzards, Electrical Storms, Tornados, Water Spouts, Giant Dust Devils, Earthquakes, Volcanic Eruptions, Monsoons, Typhoons (Hurricanes/Tropical Depressions but higher category levels than atlantic), Windstorms, Mudslides, Flash Floods, Hail Storms, Freezing Rain measurable in Feet (That was an awesome few days... not)... mmm, you name it, probably seen it... The Pacific Northwest, gotta love it. Wouldn't live anywhere else though... love all 4 seasons. But eh, been mostly sunny lately. Little bit of rain up here. Been nice, relaxin and all. Still recoverin from the winter floods in a lot of areas though.
X`terrania Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 Still, I'd love to live in a region that's green for the entire year. Nice cool breeze, sipping lemonade and reading a book under a nice big ol' tree, one of the elders of the world.
PoLiX Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 Note: Washington's Nickname - The Evergreen State... Exactly one of the things I love doing myself bro.
