It seams like you should be able to set the velocities based on which tile you hit hmm.... ship bounces too for that matter. This seems to throw a wrench in the whole backward compatibility thing... oh well.

Shouldn't effect backwards compatibility. Just set the velocity to 1/1 for all tiles/

each direction (x/y) for now... should be each tile though since you could do a lot more cool stuff with that

There needs to be improvements which might break backwards compatibility; maybe the server can disconnect older client's if the settings leverage some new settings like this?

That's cool. Since this applies to ships as well, could you apply a similar thing to overhead/floor tiles? That way, you could design something like a race track with booster tiles that give you a quick burst of acceleration when you fly over it a la Super Mario Cart. Edited March 4, 2008 by Warhaven

cool... and i like wat warhaven said, but theres 1 problem, you have a "TopSpeed" variable... it should make the TopSpeed higher and put ur accel at max while under this tile.
