Zone list update problem

Hi,

 

Been playing for quite a while, never really had any problems with the zones and connections. Just ran into one recently.

 

Some info:

I work at a lawfirm, so our security is pretty !@#$%^&*-clinching. I have no control over port-forwarding so I'm screwed if it's my only option.

 

The problem:

When I click update zone list (here at work) and click Download, it can't connect to the links.

However, my Tracert's trace perfectly fine, but all the zones are red. I cannot connect to any zones (anymore*). I recieve no pings and I recieve no # of players.

 

A couple weeks ago, Hyperspace changed something. This used to be the only zone that was green after I installed continuum. Now it's red again, and I can't play at all while I'm here at work.

Thanks guys I'll try it out at work tomorrow. I'm guessing it has something to do with the firm's firewall and router security setup, because I can't connect to the general server update links when it tries to download the zone list.

funny part is, the hyperspace zone must have somehow byp!@#$%^&*ed all that security before because it used to be the only zone I could connect to :-p. But since they recently updated something for the hyperspace server thingie I can't connect anymore Now I can't play at all Undo whatever you did!

well... if the only problem is updating your list because they changed server, you can update it manually.

 

Open the "zone.dat" file in your continuum folder with notepad.

Find the Hyperspace entry, and modify it to fit the following:

 

SSCE Hyperspace,208.122.59.226,5005,,0
#The one and only.
