Ammo System, Few Tips

OkOK Guys. I know you all hate the annoying ammo system, and don't want to pay hundreds of K's in cash on extending your ammo limit, but here are a few tips to make it less annoying.

 

Tip #1

Make sure "?buy gun ammo" is set as a quick macro. This can be done by typing it in the chat, and pressing Shift+F1 (or f2 or f3). Now whenever you press Shift+F1 it will type that and press "Enter" instantly. So you pop in safe, macro, and your good to go.

 

Tip #2

The ammo stores are there for a reason, and made small. When you need ammo, and are afraid of losing bounty, swipe through the thing, timing when to buy the ammo well. Then you don't even stop moving. Don't go too fast either. It takes a little while to get used to, but its easy after, and this is if you need it real bad.

 

Tip #3

Ammo doesn't cost TOO much, and you will never be losing cash because of it. (Please... no comments on that... spamming doesn't count). Now the idea, is whenever you die, check your ammo, if you're under 5k then buy up to at least 8 or 9k ammo. That way if your getting high bounty, the chances of using 9000 ammo is really unlikely. 9000/5 (pulse) = 1800 pulse shots. Thats a lot of ... shots.

 

Tip #4

The consumables have been said to be stupid because they cost every time and you gotta keep buying them. Well actually, they've made me some nice money. When you die with consumables that are unused, they come back on your next spawn. Next, a rep costs $20... So if you have say... 30 bounty, and are about to die in an intense fight, and you use a rep, making you able to kill the other person, already not only did it MAKE you $10 minimum, you still have your bounty, ready to kill more. On top of that, when you run out you can buy more without dying! I can reach 300 bounty EASILY but running, repping, and shooting people.

 

 

Knowing all that, the ammo system makes you lose cash.... but if you do these 4 tips, knowing them will make things a lot easier for you.

 

EDIT: An interesting thing you can do is stocking. I can hold 2 bursts on my warbird. If I buy 10, that means next time I spawn, if I used one before, it will refill me.

EDIT 2: Also, you can macro your ammo to be "?buy -c 5 gun ammo" so it will make you buy 5 ammo in one shot, so you don't even spend more than 1 second in safe to buy ammo, making the chances of losing bounty even lower, or getting killed.

I think I forgot to mention, you also have a limit, on ?shipstatus it will say the limit, ex -20 rep, -15 burst.

Yeh wtf, looks like your bty goes to 10 now when you rebuy your consumables. etc. burst, repel. More ways to stop btying? Jesus !@#$%^&*ing christ.

Yea really... MEGA hate that rule... but at least it makes it so when you buy right on spawn your bty isnt 9...
