Synook Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 !@#$%^&*o everyone, Recently, I have been getting specced for excessive ping while playing in the HyperSpace zone (HS), just over (e.g. You have been specced for excessive average server-to-client ping: 251 ms breaks the limit of 250) . This has only been happening recently, since around January. This is slightly ironical, as I just had my internet connection upgraded to 5 MB/s (but then it is server-to-client ping that is over). Talking to other HS players, I have found that many of them also have experienced this. If this is a widespread phenomenon then something should be done, I believe, as it negatively affects HS's population. Even just raisin the ping limit to 260 would help. Hmm... though I don't know whether it is just me, or the server. Thanks,Synook Quote
Dr Brain Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 We'll soon be moving to a new server sometime in the next week in an attempt to fix this. Both HZ and HS have been experiencing connection problems, and we've just been waiting for the connection to the central billing server and a bit of free time to move the zone. Quote
Synook Posted February 14, 2008 Author Report Posted February 14, 2008 Oh good I was hoping I didn't have to give up HyperSpace. Quote
op2rules Posted February 14, 2008 Report Posted February 14, 2008 Yea I was having the same problem, mostly with 5.5% packet loss. Anywyas I connected directly to the net and the lag went away. Although sometimes I still get it slightly over. Hope this happens soon. Quote
BlueWyvern Posted February 15, 2008 Report Posted February 15, 2008 It's after you leave a subarena to get into the pub. Or even when you join the zone (but by the time the zone gets an average for your lag it will likely have already settled) Quote
