New item set and ammo

I love the new items, ty Arnk... however I hate the ammo, as do other people who will hopefully post here. Harpy missile takes 15 bomb ammo per shot, which is 100 shots, not too bad.. but how can you bounty if you have to run to a safe and ammo shop every 100 shots?

I"m sure tacnuke and others cost even more. I find the ammo system to be ridiculous, please I ask.. may it be reverted?

It is stupid for firing bombs to cost energy as well as ammo.. one or the other.

Perhaps make weapon firing cost no energy? And maybe more ammo.

How about when you have ammo, you can fire weapons for no energy.

When you run out of ammo, weapons start using up energy. Not sure if this is possible.

It was cool at the start, now it's really pissing me off. Every time I bty, in center or basing, I run out of pulse G-Ammo. Either take it off, or make it come in larger quan!@#$%^&*ies. Maybe a limit of 50k ammo and 10k ammo per pack, a pack costing 250$. Its REALLLLLY annoying! When I have high bty, and then I go to buy ammo, I either lose it all, or get hunted in the process.

...i liked this at the begining but now its really getting anoying that nubs kill me and i heard that you have to buy rocket fuel? like wtf?, some of the items are cool buy there is no need for emmiters, capacity and mounts. It will take someone a long time to get use to this new system and its not all that great, i hope that this is just a test, because if it isnt, it better be a joke.

My Main problem with btying is, you LOSE ALL your bounty as soon as you get to a safe to buy stuff, plus a bunch of bombs take like 15 bombs to fire one.. how does that make sense 1 bomb ammo should = 1 bomb.

Don't like running out of ammo in base? Then stock up on them. You can have up to 10 Bomb Ammo/Gun Ammo packs... that will keep you going for quite a while. If you think that it's expensive to buy it all at once, it isn't... it will all cost the same in the end. Just buy it all at once if necessary.

 

Also, before we start thinking it has ruined the zone, why not wait longer than a few days after the change before making !@#$%^&*umptions. It may all work out, it may not. I think it'll work out.

yeh when you try to restock you loose too much bounty i had like 230 bounty today and had to rebuy gun ammo and soon after that i had only 150 bounty and almost lost it all cause some people were hunting me in center.... spiders are slow cant get out of safe fast enough to restock and not loose any bounty

Love the new items, hate the new ammo system. I realize that arnk Has put a lot of time into creating it but it's just a nuisance. I had 10 gun ammo packs, 295bty. I ran out of ammo went into safe for literally a second and lost 100 bty.

dont buy ammo in center safe, u lose too much bty, buy it in side safes, u lose barely any (maybe an item that spawns 1 ammo every min or something?)

Only reason you should ever buy ammo in center safe is if you just died and when u ?shipstatus. You found our you were less than 500 (I prefer to have over 500 cause I dont want to have no ammo in firefights) or you warp to center from btying in base.

 

Buying ammo from depots hardly cause you to lose bty since you can just fly a cross the safe and hit enter/macro to buy.

 

Ammo doesnt really affect btying in center...its just people are too lazy to check every so often to see their ammo count. What ammo really affects is those basing....but the problem of how people lose a ton of bty when they warp to center to buy ammo will be solved soon.

 

Why I say that? Once lancs get summoner (which they will), you can warp and hit ur macro key or the "?buy -c # gun ammo pack" and pm to get summoned back before you lose any bty.

 

Linear's idea basically nulls the point of ammo. Its no different then before. Half of the people wont bother to buy ammo cause there isnt a real point unless you wish to spam without losing nrg. Only way it would work is if they skyrocket the price of ammo or slash the amount count by a ton.

You guys are cute for the most part. I'll say this much: if you want high bounty streaks: I suggest you start saving your ammo, buying ammo efficient guns, or buying guns that don't use ammo.

 

It doesn't really matter what any of you say.. because ammo was never intended to be left in the state it is. This is merely the acclimation phase. If we threw everything at you we will be throwing at you at once, your heads would explode (and so would ours answering your silly questions.) It hasn't even been a week, just play the friggin game. It's not like I'm not playing it too to see how things are.

...But that's not going to stop me from reiterating:

USE THE AMMO DEPOTS. Maybe there's a reason they're called ammo depots, hmm?

 

And while we're on the subject, I have yet to find a listing of each ship's ammo capacities, and, even with ammo as cheap as it is, I'd prefer to not test that myself. MOAR INFOS PLZ KTHXBAI

What I find the most friggin re!@#$%^&*ed, is it takes 35 bomb ammo to fire 1 tacnuke... how does that make sense? It should at least be either 1:1 or like linear suggested. There are tons of people in HS who won't post because of whatever stupid reason.. and no mods to hear them.

hs use to be about skill, now its about who plays the longest. There are many skilled players that I see getting killed by nubs. the skilled players should not be getting killed so easy :/

As long HS is rpg style, it will always be who ever plays the longest is the best. Unless the items hardly effects anything.

 

Something I want a staff to verify: Does buy gun ammo cause your ship to magically stop? Apparently Creamy thinks so and is sure enough about it that he thinks I need to learn how to play/stupid if I think otherwise.

Second Dont like buying ammo, the advantage is though people will have to get used to not blind firing every where they go, eventually.
