»Lynx Posted February 10, 2008 Report Posted February 10, 2008 For Jab: To get your ASSS server running, you must firstly download the latest build. This can be found here. Extract the .zip file In the root dir of the folder, open conf, then open global.conf in notepad Change the two following entries, everything else you can do with as you like. [ Billing ] ;Proxy = bin/proxy IP = 127.0.0.1 Port = 5001 ServerName = JabJabJab's Server password = jabsp!@#$%^&*word ScoreID = 9956 ServerID = 9965 [ Listen ] ;; the main listening port Port = 7001 Then, while in the conf folder open staff.conf Change the following entry, I am presuming that you're just going to be using the sysop group anyway. [(global)] ; these are "playername = group" JabJabJab = sysop Then, while in the conf folder open modules.conf, and untick directory and billing_ssc security:security directory ; billing ;; if you're using a billing server, you'll probably want to use this: billing_ssc - Now, go here, and download SSB2 Extract this, and in the root directory open subill.ini Change the following sections// Billing SysOp ?login password SysopP!@#$%^&*word=jabs_cool_except_when_he_asks_for_help // Zone login password BillingP!@#$%^&*word= jabsp!@#$%^&*word ... // Biller local port Port=5001 That should get you your zone running locally, and others should be able to connect externally. All you have to do now is forward ports, which I don't think is applicable to you as you're running a 56K (hehhehheh) connection. If you do need to port forward visit www.portforward.com and if you've got UTorrent there's a neat little feature on there to check if ports have been forwarded successfully. You only need to forward UDP ports for this. Peace.. Tired.. G'night. Quote
CRe Posted February 10, 2008 Report Posted February 10, 2008 // Billing SysOp ?login password SysopP!@#$%^&*word=jabs_cool_except_when_he_asks_for_help He will never be cool. Quote
