nikegurl637 Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 Heh, Polix, I don't mind. I love football. My whole family loves football, and I grew up in the latter part of Niners Dynasty... so that explains a lot. @ Samapico and rootbear, Patriots were caught cheating early on this season. They taped the NY Jets' playcallers or something like that (though why you need to cheat against today's Jets is beyond me), and then beat them easily. Before this Superbowl a new allegation came up where the Pats are accused of taping a Rams runthrough... the day before the Pats then upset the Rams in the Superbowl however many years back. If that turns out to be true, then what is there to say that the Pats haven't cheated this entire time? But at least the Giants brought them to justice. Ah well, screw Boston.
NBVegita Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 What the accusations are is that the patriots were video taping the defensive and offensive signals in real time, and then matching them up simultaneously with the game film so that they can predict audibles, defensive formations, blitz packages, ect. What has surfaced against the pats about the rams superbowl is that they video taped their red zone defence, and had alarming good success at stopping it. In fact they would have stopped the rams, except for a holding call on 4th down that brought them to the 3, and then they ran a play not pracitced in at that facility. I don't know the validity, or if this is just coincidental, but this information is allegedly coming from someone who was with the patriots organization at that time. I've been a giants fan since I could walk, and although the superbowl in 90 was nice, I still had a real bad taste in my mouth from those ravens. With that said...GO GIANTS!!!
Sass Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 Let's go Niners! WOO!! Another Niners fan! Hooray! We'er not a dead breed!
Tiq Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 I'm glad the Giants won the way they did. It wouldn't have tasted so !@#$%^&* good if the Pats were simply blown out. Dr. House picked the Giants to win, and the moment he made that pick, I knew the outcome
»Purge Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 it also seems that EA Games lost their bet, too. for the past 4 or 5 superbowls EA predicted the winners through simulation via Madden game, but this year they got it wrong.
Aileron Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 Actually, nikegirl, you aren't quite correct. The Patriots were taping ALL of the player callers on EVERY team. The Jets just happened to be the people who caught them because one of their coaches were working for the Patriots the year before and was in on it.

Falcoknight Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 I've gotta say, the Giants played their heart out in that game. Wish I could say the same for the Patriots.
