Shlazzer Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 Sooo i have HDMI problems with my new 42 inch plasma Insignia TV. I plug up my PS2, and play GH3. And it's not typical "Audio/video delay" My system is actually taking longer to recognize when I've pushed a button. I push down, and .75 seconds, the cursor/highlight moves down. It doesn't do this with any other TV in my house.. is this an HDMI problem!? HALP!
rootbear75 Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 what type of cable is plugged in?what do you have your settings at?do you have both the component (if there is one) and HDMI plugged in?is your battery level on ur PS3 okay?
Shock Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 It's PS2. Guitar Hero lags on HDTV but, .75 seconds, if legitimate, seems like a huge delay. I found this: http://blog.sav2880.net/2008/01/10/hdtv-lag-480i-is-so-2007/ It doesn't say anything about ways to help, but I guess you're not alone.
tcsoccerman Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 in guitar hero 3, a possible way to fix it is to go to the settings->video options->calibrate lag(this may not be actual path. it's a guess. if it isn't there, keep looking for it). it will then ask you to do a simple thing you should figure it out.

Shlazzer Posted January 30, 2008 Author Report Posted January 30, 2008 Battery on a PS3? Anyways I've tried calibrating lag.. that doesn't fix the problem.. the calibration stops at like 199ms, and im still suffering. And thats for audio/video delay. This isn't even audio/video delay.. it's like, button lag, that is TV specific?
rootbear75 Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 BATTERY ON A PS3?Oh, I thought PS3 controllers were wireless... I don't own one, so how am I supposed to know they aren't?!
tcsoccerman Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 rootbear may be right. if you are using a wireless controller, make sure it has full battery. (only on wireless). make sure cables are all the way in?
Shock Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 He said it doesn't do it any other TV. It's OBVIOUSLY not a problem with controllers and it is obviously an HDTV problem.
Incomplete Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 Do other games also lag onthe TV?Does anything else seem to lag with the TV?Have you tried using a different HDMI lead?andHave you tried plugging the HDMI lead into a different port?
