Sharpflame Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 I noticed that the website was majorly improved today, and I don't see why improvement should ever stop, so I think that anyone who has suggestions for the website should post them here. Try to come up with something. ScreenshotsMy first suggestion is a screenshots section of the website, with about 9 screenshots of the zone, including basing, center, and other cool stuff, like transwarp, jump, and the vortex. Hyperspace looks way more intense than most other zones, and anyone who hasn't seen HS before will end up surprised at screenshots. AdvertisingIf we are going to have the website, it would be nice if more people could visit it, especially the ones who have never been to HS. Forms of advertising could be signatures or banners. I wouldn't reccomend going to other zones and telling everyone about it though, that's just like saying "Visit SSCE Hyperspace"... Viewing player scores/stats onlineI remember, we used to have a website that would show you which players had achieved the highest bounty or ratio in the zone. I think bringing this back would add a little more compe!@#$%^&*ion to the zone, and more reason to visit the website. I would love to be able to head to the website, check out my in-zone points, record and ship items. If you have not already seen the Hyperspace website...SSHyperspace.netBrowse around, see if you think anything is missing. Quote
Steigerwald Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 I still would love to see an online store where you can pimp your ship out. Followed by a place to upload your own screenshots that youd like to brag about. Quote
Matrim Cauthon Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 i would like to see that record holding for bty back again(and is it just me? or does the website seem to lack color?) Quote
»1587200 Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 (edited) It would be cool if you could find a way to take the text from the zone's chat and put it on the website off to the side. Example here: http://www.adullamirc.net On the right they have what's being said in the irc channel. It would also be cool if it was a custom built website, and not e107 Edited January 29, 2008 by Guest Quote
James1293 Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 And therefore defeat any hope of getting people that actually want to play. We'll end up either 1) losing population or 2)getting pointless, nonplaying arguerers (spelling) that just...argue. Like today's religion conversation Quote
PoLiX Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 Don't think he meant as in giving ability to chat from the website, although chatnut already does this... But just display the pub chat. Quote
»D1st0rt Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 I could spend my time making a custom backend Syrus, or I could spend the time making things to actually use. I have a bunch of stuff coded for a previous version that I just need to get up to date with various updates and our own schema changes. Quote
