tcsoccerman Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 this whole project has slowed down a ton...is everyone busy or just lazy lately? Quote
»doc flabby Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 (edited) I've just not posted anything. I'm doing a lot of work on ASSS to get it to do what i need it to do to progress the client. The best way of tracking speed is to look at the SVN stats, which are lookiing healthy. Also I'm introducing a weekly coding challenge to let people take on small projects! http://sourceforge.net/project/stats/detai...&mode=60day Edited January 25, 2008 by doc flabby Quote

Last change i made to the client branch was 5 days ago. If you go here it gives you a good idea of whats going on. http://subspace2.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/subspace2/ I like the look of your work on the dev-tools, they are going to be as important as the platform itself. Have you got any ideas on a level format / ship format? Edited January 26, 2008 by doc flabby Quote
tcsoccerman Posted January 26, 2008 Author Report Posted January 26, 2008 i could use my custom saving style...but i don't suggest you do. no idea. i was actually thinking that they don't make the map with the dev-tools, but just load it. yeh i think the dev-tools will be useful as well. it will make it easier to change settings and such in a zone. oh and for ships, i had an idea that the zone owner had a folder named /ships/ where they save all the ship files they made for the zone. then on runtime they all get loaded to be used. same idea could be used for other things, such as weapons, abilities, maps.
