17ths Come Back

Ok so were finally deciding to put more effort into the revival of 17th, this is where it all starts. You can help customise what you would like 17th to be just by saying what you would like. We would consider it and possibily implement it if we think it's a good idea. If you would like to join everyone who is helping then just join ?chat=17thCB.

 

You can suggest ideas on Pub (whether it be maps, settings, lvz etc...) or even a simple event. You can even design the whole thing yourself for us to revise and consider using. The way the zone turns out could be based on what you guys want / say / do.

 

I will keep updating you guys on what's going on.

maybe you should bring back that "control" type game that MMav debuted before... the one where you control POCs to win a game or something. I believe it also had mannable turrets.

One base in the center of the map, make it where greens only spawn inside the base. Each team needs ~200 or so greens collected to win the game (# could be based on pop). Greenweight is also an easy way to balance how easy it is to win based on how many people are playing.

 

You would have to balance defending the base (to stop the enemy from getting closer to winning) and collecting greens yourself.

 

 

I suggested it to Delic a while back but that obviously didn't go anywhere.

Not quite true. We want to include rumble into the pub map but still as an event. So when people enter pub they can see people are playing. A BOT> would host pub and Rumble at the same time. Checkout ?go map1 for a preview.

Heheh, I like the whole concept, just not as pub ;P

Though the one-base-in-center part of it is something I've

had in mind for a pub for a long time, just not in 17th because

in my opinion it doesn't suit the "theme". Luckily I'm not in charge

anymore and the theme has long been forgotten, or is perceived

differently than the classic way >;P

I really like the greening idea... But first we'll try to make events work in pub, which will take some coding. But the pub part could be that (collecting greenz)

Just an update.

 

WE HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN ABOUT YOU!

 

Although the zone is still down, we have still been working on the zone. When the zone gets back up we'll be able to implement our work for you to enjoy. I will upload maps that we have done when i'm back at home for you guys to check out and give your opinions.
