Connecting Problem

I am running Continuum on Windows XP SP2 and I have a weird problem.

When I first run continuum after I boot up my computer, it will connect to any zone just fine. If I quit however (or if they kick me out because my ping it too high =P ) and try to connect again, it gets stuck on the Connecting to Server screen. It does this with all zones, and I have to reboot my computer to play again. I tried reinstalling it but did not help. Could someone help please?

trace to a zone and post results.

check all firewalls and antivirus/spyware settings

I traced zones a few times before and some of the servers were getting that amount of loss. As for antivirus and firewall, I had to disable Spyware Doctor in order for continuum to run, and all I have is windows firewall.

 

It was running fine until about 2 days ago.

The first IP# is a sympatico System - Summary link the link will only work if you have the 2wire from bell

are you using wireless? is your modem the 2wire?

 

If your using 2wire and trying to play ss wireless for get it..it will lag you bad.

edit: yeah... tracing to hyperspace definitly brings you to that server... weird.

I'm also getting high packetloss from these 3 nodes. Might not be an issue cause I have 0% ploss on the last node though...

I am running continuum fine on a laptop with the same internet connection, so it must be my home computer. I traced the server with the same results on the laptop.

 

I will probably have to run the tracer program overnight to get 100. As for imageshack, indeed

to get 100 it takes at most 10 minutes
