Well,

I was looking back at some old posts from 03' and I realized this place has been here a long time. I was also browsing through the wayback internet archive and found the old sscentral sites, and the one I first came upon wayyyy back when. Im glad you guys kept them old posts, it feels kinda of good reading some of the old re!@#$%^&*ed things I said. I had a laugh or two when I realized how different I post these days, even though this one is kind of pointless. I noticed some of the people then are still around now. Amazing how long this games been alive, along with these forums and community.

Thanks to everyone for keeping it alive, especially the community.

Ive only seen a few of his topics that I would actually call spam, but the others are just things I see him posting about. If he wasn't here this board might not have anything new to ever talk about ^_^.

I agree. Although he makes a lot of topics, if he didn't the forums would be kind of dead. Excluding Hyperspace and such.

Been working with the ss websites for over 9yrs now, sscentral 8ish, and ssforum since I helped create it in 2002, so 5.5yrs or so.

Kind of sad to think, but eh. I learned a lot working on this stuff, from barely knowing html back in 97ish, to knowing php and mysql almost like the top of my *$%^ (had to say it).

Glad you guys have enjoyed it though.

Sadly a lot of posts have been lost during 1 db crash in 03 (120,000 posts lost, and almost mega_shok.gif zone and squad forums), a brutal deletion rampage by spyed right after I re-took the reins in 05 (70,000 posts lost), and around 20,000 posts deleted by one of the 17th sysops round the same time.

But I have to say, been smooth the past few years. Except next time someone pulls a spyed, we have a lot in place to stop it.

What ever happened to Swift, Polix? I think I missed the part where he resigned. Ive been off and on the forums for a while now. I dont play the game at all anymore, but I still like to check on the community and see whats new. But yea, thanks for the hard work Polix, I know you've been at it a while now, glad to see some people havn't given up. Edited by Trained

Swift is still around. I just have my own game to play and my own little shoes to fill in the guild I am in while playing WoW. I'm just as easy as ever to get ahold of via email; joemedeiros@gmail.com

PoLiX can get ahold of me if he needed to but since I resigned from said jobs, !@#$%^&*les, positions... my life in SS has been a lot better. As to what that means, I think the saying I've always used comes in handy when dealing with SubSpace in general.

'You begin a player, you leave a player.' Which is so true for a Free 2 Play Online Game. You're all players with 'limited' scopes of power within your zone or server... but when you decide to give those up to move on or to just PLAY for a change... not deal with whispers or people... no politics in-game... you are forever more the player again. Which is why it should be seen as something of a 'think of the player as a player' when dealing with issues in-game. Sound advice for any wanna-be zone owner, banning administrator or server administrator. Think of others before yourself!

oh come on dude, don't fall into the WoW crowd, come back to continuum forever and ever. WoW is boring. smile.gif

Joe is hooked, everytime I go over to his place, atleast once at some point, he is playing WoW. Wheter it be when I get there, during, or leaving, lol. And it always comes up in some conversation. Not that I'm whinin bout it, but just sayin, he is hooked.

Edit: oh, and not to mention, he got his Wife addicted also. So that really puts a kill to him ever quitting.

listen rootbear, you didn't need to add "strangely" or any other snide !@#$%^&*ing comment before you bothered to even agree with me. no wonder people hate you so much.

ahh !@#$%^&* man, that's even worse... he got his wife hooked on it. blah, he'll come back here in no time. seriously, you'll never leave the game. you'll always come back to subspace or at least something related to subspace lol.

He'll come back when theres nothing left to do on WoW. Or he'll move onto some other online game, and bounce from one to another. I played Final Fantasy 11 for a long time, I got my dad, brother & my step-mom addicted. My brother and dad still play.. sadly.

I remember the first time I met Swift in 17th - he threatened to netban me.

And uhhh, WoW blows. All my friends are addicted to it but it only held my interest for about two weeks.. no MMORPG has captured my interest like Helbreath once did.
