Sorry folks, but the 2008 Presidential bid seems to be effectively over. Yeah, I know the vote is months away, but I don't see how the other candidates can possibly overcome this.

I personally am afraid to vote for anyone else now.

holy !@#$%^&*...the others are screwed, glad i'm not american, or I'd have to vote for him. Anyone who doesn't vote for him is going to end up dead somewhere and the coroner is going to deem them all "Death by roundhouse kick"

Well, it was rude of me to post a video and not explain what's on it, because some ppl are on 56k.

Point being, Chuck Norris is endorsing Huckabee, and Chuck Norris doesn't just endorse a candidate, he tells America how its gonna be...

Wow, SeVeR and I agree on something...I have sudden desire to take a long shower and burn my clothes.

Ofcourse, if one were to judge a man by his religion, one would probably be a baptist, and thus its somewhat hypocritical.

Bak, by "Congress" you mean the Supreme Court, right? Really the opinions of the legislative bodies are nearly irrelevant on those two issues. What is important are the opinions of the Justices the President nominates. In those regards all Republicans and all Democrats are the same: Democrats will nominate some liberal nut judge, and Republicans will nominate an "unbiased" judge who turns around and becomes a liberal nut 5 minutes after taking the oath of office.

yeah i usually side with the liberals but I might actually consider hukabee... i like that fair tax idea... seems like all the overseas businesses would move back to the states. his views on abortion and the death penalty are as republican as ever... but I doubt he'll get congress to overturn anything.

yah vote for huckabee in the republican primary cause he'll never win the national election.. well, ecxept maybe against obama..

i guess since our Saviour ron paul wont be nominated, mccain is my 2nd choice... there is no 3rd choice!

Huckabee has absolutely no chance at winning a general election. As I see it, the only Republicans who could beat a democrat would be McCain or Ron Paul (neither of them are bat!@#$%^&* insane enough to win a Republican primary though)

I checked this out on youtube, and noticed how lame some of the video comments are.

People were like analyzing this politically, saying "does he expect an actor supporting him to sway votes?" and saying its sad that he has to resort to this, and its just someone trying to downplay his politics by re-using old comedy.

Did any of you actually find anything something wrong with this? Cuz I sure didn't, thought it just showed the guy is well rounded and has the guts to try an ad thats out-side-of the box

To further add to that, Romney actually did an attack ad on the subject, where he did a side-by-side comparison between Huckabee and Norris' reputation. I don't like Romney at all. He's too much of a politician.

Keep in mind that in the end there will be two names on the ticket. The way I personally want it is Gulianni for President and Huckabee for Vice President.

As for Obama, I think he would make a good president some day, but not in 2008. He shows a certain rashness in some of his decision making that is not appropriate for a leader. The Democratic party leaders probably nominated him as a potential running mate with the idea that he would look like a good choice for 2012.

Gulianni - I don't know anything about, nor have seen anything of this guy.

All I know is he was New York's mayor, and is riding on his 9/11 fame.

guy's about as far right as you can get on social issues.

I may generally be a Democrat, and darkhosis is a Republican, but I agree with him as far as his !@#$%^&*essment of the Reverend Huckabee goes. blum.gif

Being a New Yorker I can tell you Giuliani is the most worthless piece of pond s!@#$%^&* alive. As much as I hate Bush I hate Giuliani more. His beliefs are the ones that get him elected. To get in power in New York he acted like a social liberal, but now he acts like he is a Christian even though he never goes to church. He's not a Christian it's just fashionable in America to act like one. He uses 9/11 as a political tool constantly even though he only made things worse with poor planning. He was probably too busy with the photo ops to protect the rescue workers from the toxic fumes. Even his kids hate him. He is the fakest candidate around and I guarantee he'd be even more of a neo con than Bush. I think we can agree there is a certain amount of sincerity in Bush's beliefs, but Giuliani's are all fake and it's all about the power with him.
