Yes there are, currently -=SMG=- seem to be popular as does Greenfire and /iron at the moment, but then again you might not like em lol.

 

I know after pub league my own squad =Xenocide= is starting up. We have a SSforum.net board ( look at squad board ) and also in there is a link to our offical message board. Our website is going up soon, and we will be a multi zone squad etc. etc. Read the SSforum board to see more.

The squad "core" in 17th sure isn't what it used to be... I remember squads used to have private sbl pracs atleast 4 times everyday.

Now the squads just come here for league and if a rumble/jwl/sbl is being hosted.

 

Then you have those newbie squads like those mentioned http://www.hitemup.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif

SMG is hardly newbie, and's been around at least back to RRL II (man that's a while blum.gif )

 

I dare you to take out a balling team of:

Myself

Venomous Blaze

Cokey

DKR

Spray n Pray

And whoever else wants to come at you ;)

 

-*BAD WORD*-, Kent's team got owned 5-0. So please don't call us newbs Zion. In fact, i'd go so far as to say we're the best 17th squad anymore, seeing as 17th "skill" is finally not based on flying around in a jav blasting things with lag inducers and other such cheating materials.

kent squad consisted of myself, 2 personal friends who i asked to download and join kent squad so id have enough players, a lagger who i asked to join so id have enough players, and 2 kents. is it surprising we got owned, when one of my friends doesnt know how to use xradar, and none of them even know what 'attach' means?

 

we had 6 unprepared players, smg had 8 prepared.

 

heh, it was fun anyways.

There's a big difference between calling players in a squad newbies, and calling the squad as a whole newbish.

 

You don't think SMG is newbish ey, well, what do you have to compare with? heh I'm sure you're the best squad in your so called league and in 17th pub where the squad that has most members online wins, but that's not what I compare with dawWg.

Publeague is a joke... whoever wins that match might be the better squad at that kind of game, but not in 17th.

 

And DKR, those squads are far more stable than most other squads in 17th.

That's what it's all about, stability, endurance, organization.

Agreed, the squad mentioned by prem are the most stable squads in the zone. -*BAD WORD*-.... Covert-Ops has been around for how long? And Sera is old-school too. Epion doesnt look like it'll be dissolving anytime soon, and Aera goes back some too.

 

 

On a side note: Epion proved in MSBL that once they start caring they can beat anyone. That squad didn't give two -*BAD WORD*-s about msbl till playoffs rolled around where they then proceeded to manhandle and pwn the compe!@#$%^&*ion. Epion isn't playing publeague for lack of squaddies caring about ANOTHER multiship league, so I'd go as far to say that SMG will beat Epion Saturday blum.gif

Stability can only half come from its members, and if people choose to come and go then its not the squads fault, its the players who do it too the squad. Take a look at Elemental, they have had a massive drain on players leaving em yet they still carry on. You cant fix a problem if its on the players leaving, you just must recruit more, yet with the limited population we have, its alot harder to do that than say Trench War squads who can refill ranks like their is no tommorow.

 

And nah I dont think publeague is a joke, its just giving other squads who dont want to be fully focused around jav 24/7 a chance to play something else in a different light. You might just find that people enjoy playing these sorts of games more than plain killing, isnt that what Your map is about Zion?

 

Its the same as multiship, again another chance and another league for squads who dont fully concentrate on the javelin. You must offer variety in a zone for it to be successful in its leagues in my belief, no matter what anyone says. Seen it in Infantry, -*BAD WORD*- thats what they do in Trench and look how high sprung and popular their leagues are! Yes the Twdd is most popular but right behind that is the Twjd and the Twbd, both which people seem to enjoy more and whine less at each other.

 

17th might of survived on its jav leagues long ago but for it to excel to gain more people and become a better zone no I dont think it can stay on just javs, and these trial leagues are giving us a chance to experiment, have a bit of fun, and play something a lil different from the normal day leagues of 17th.

SBL was based on the Jav. You can't just add shït and think it'll work out, you have to think how the things that you add will effect everything around it.

That's what nobody who has changed things even thought about, they don't know how it works.

"Publeague" is different since it's based on a new idea, but that type of game still doesn't do it for me heheh.
