rootbear75 Posted December 24, 2007 Report Posted December 24, 2007 (edited) I am making a training manual for both super moderator and moderator positions. I am almost done with the moderator one, and i was wanting some feedback on this. It's mainly for the new people to come to DBZ, but it is generalized enough to be used in any subgame zone. Questions, comments, and feedback is welcome. (except for the type which says, OMG noob, why the !@#$%^&* do you need a training manual.. omg fat !@#$%^&* grow up.... <- will not be tolerated.) Also thinking about submitting the final draft to ssdownloads when i finish both. If you want to see it in an .rtf or some other format, please ask. btw: this isnt the final copy... still working on the layout of the paragraphs.. etc...mainly for commands. someone else is working on the rules part.std_mod_training.doc Edited December 24, 2007 by rootbear75
Shock Posted December 24, 2007 Report Posted December 24, 2007 I think it's pretty good, but it seems sort of useless. People applying for moderator positions usually have knowledge as to what they are applying for.
rootbear75 Posted December 24, 2007 Author Report Posted December 24, 2007 (edited) i know... but this is also for those people who want to help out, but dont know how to do anythingwhen i finish it, im going to request it be uploaded to ssdownloads for future reference might write an ASSS one, once i get some experience with that...maybe an subgame -> ASSS manual Edited December 24, 2007 by rootbear75
Cancer+ Posted December 24, 2007 Report Posted December 24, 2007 An ASSS one would be better because a lot of people don't know ASSS.
X`terrania Posted December 24, 2007 Report Posted December 24, 2007 Nice idea, Root, but yeah an A3 manual would be put to better use, seeing as staff coordinators often train people shortly after hiring them.
rootbear75 Posted December 24, 2007 Author Report Posted December 24, 2007 im going to make an ASSS manual when DBZ shifts to ASSS this summer
»CypherJF Posted December 24, 2007 Report Posted December 24, 2007 I echo the comments above; a version of it for ASSS would be a great stepping stone for many individuals. Once it's all set to go, publish to a PDF. I don't like having to open OpenOffice. I'd rather launch less bulky FoxIt reader.
»doc flabby Posted December 24, 2007 Report Posted December 24, 2007 (edited) We have a manual in TW for all the staff positions i think. Edited December 24, 2007 by doc flabby
Dav Posted December 29, 2007 Report Posted December 29, 2007 a version of shanky.com/server/commands for ASSS would be useful
Hellonearth Posted December 29, 2007 Report Posted December 29, 2007 I think it's pretty good, but it seems sort of useless. People applying for moderator positions usually have knowledge as to what they are applying for. youd be amazed how many people that apply for staff dont even know what theyre suposed to do, all they think is that theyre going to host events, but they dont even know how to send a arena msg
rootbear75 Posted December 30, 2007 Author Report Posted December 30, 2007 (edited) Bump for update: Added bot commands into the manual. Let me know if i should switch things around. std_mod_training.pdf Edited December 30, 2007 by rootbear75
