For those who celebrate stuff like christmas and new year and yadda yadda, merry/happy

My family (me & my mom) doesn't celebrate any holidays (we used to, but it was too much work to prepare and they finally realized it's just a day like any other) so i don't really care blum.gif

I kind of hate christmas for all this gotta-buy-presents crap... People shouldn't be stressed for Christmas... bleh. It's just fun for the parties with the family and friends.

Looking forward to Christmas, the decorations, the food, and the family. That, and New Years are great celebrations with my family, so it's fun.

But I'm not looking forward to working on boxing day ; I'm gonna die, because of the overload of shoppers.

And if anything pisses me off, it's people attempting to be politically correct by saying "Happy Christmas", "Happy Xmas", "Happy winter break" ; !@#$%^&* that, Merry Christmas. I'd say Happy Hannukah if there were someone to say it too, but don't lame around with expressions. >.>

Anyhow, though early, Happy New Years as well blum.gif

Uhh, how is "Happy Christmas" more PC than "Merry Christmas"? For that matter, how is "Happy Xmas" more PC than "Merry Xmas"?

Yes, "Xmas" is the PC version of "Christmas," and "Happy Winter Break" or "Happy Holidays" are PCized expressions, but how is "Merry" not PC?

Trust me, people are crazy enough to think that anything that avoids the traditional use, is more politically correct. An example of this is people avoiding the word "Eskimo" for the word "Inuit", because people thought that eskimo meant "eater of raw meat", but it really means either "snow shoe netters" or "people who speak a different language".

And actually Rootbear, I thought you were just kidding, hard to tell sometimes. Anyhow Happy hanukkah to you.
