"Science teacher"? Haha. what grade are you in?

I finished finals a week ago (wow, seems so much longer than that!), I had six. After that, I packed quickly and escaped the east coast, and I'm back on the best coast. Oops, I mean west. Relaxing.

yup... tiss61 is probably in grade 10 or a lower grade... as sui said... if he was in grade 11 or 12 he would have said bio/chem/physics teacher and in university it's prof...

im not American... im Canadian... but ya i just finished my finals last friday(14th)... just taking it ez now and seeing my friends and stuff btw chocko... midterms are usually October to November and February to March... finals are in December and April and nothing rly happens in January and September (except !@#$%^&*ignments) because that is usually when a class starts... (but in some unlucky cases midterms could start late September or late January)

dont you guys in america have your school/college/whatever year all wacked out? Shouldn't you guys be doing... midterms or whatever you call them? noexpression.gif

We do have a wacked out school year. (I know because I lived in Australia for a bit- their schoolyear was wacked out compared to us)

A new school year starts in August/September and then goes until May/June. Then we have an exceptionally long summer break.

High schools/college are typically divided into semesters, which is why we have finals atm. Some weird college have quarters, but those also have finals now. blum.gif

I think elsewhere in the world school is year-round, starting in January? I don't remember anymore. Enlighten, please!

School years follow logically blum.gif . Well, I guess its all sound to structure education around summer, everyone hates studying in stinking summer. Cause its summer here right now when your winter is, school years usually start in february and end in december (for my last year of yr 12, school ended in october). There are four terms with 2 week breaks inbetween and the uber long break at the end of the year.

For Uni (college... wah? middle school? what? lol), or tertiary education, semesters vary a lot, some may be the whole year, some may have four month breaks at the end of the year. ;)

But australia is cool and shiz yeah
