I thought it was a pretty interesting movie. I think they could have went more in depth on what happened with "the virus" other than it turned people into creatures. They never said if they were zombies but they couldn't be exposed to UV light, Why not? I also thought the ending was bad. They just simply went and took the blood to Vermont and all is well? How did they reverse the creatures to human people. Will Smith did some good acting though, I'll give him that.

Also, I was hoping to see his family get !@#$%^&*ed up in that helicopter crash. More or less, see the helicopter cut through the other one.

What do you guys think?

This movie was based off of a book, i think it was called I am Legend blum.gif . There were also 2 other movies based off of this book, one called Omega something, I think Charlton Heston was in it, then there was another one.

The creatures in the movie werent zombies, they were vampires. In the book it goes so far as to even call them vampires. Explain the UV thing. I was on the fence about seeing this movie now i don't think im going to see it based on theending lol.

I saw it on Sunday. Thought it was a good movie.. not great, but worth seeing for sure... if not at the theater, then renting (or downloading) it when it comes out on DVD..

They were like sensitive to UV light or some !@#$%^&* supposedly. Like killed them outright or something, judging by what happened to one of 'em after they exposed themself. There was also some comments about how they were becoming less afraid to expose themselves to UV light, but nothing ever really came of it.

The first hour was really good, but when they introduced this other survivor woman it started going downhill a little bit from there. Still OK, but lost some of its kick I guess. And, yeah, the ending was pretty lame.

It was called Omega Man with Charlton Heston. So many old movies like this one. http://www.amazon.com/Omega-Man-Charlton-H...n/dp/6302814723

The Last Man on Earth (1964) http://www.imdb.com/!@#$%^&*le/tt0058700/ <---just like I am Legend.

i thought it sucked. it was so overrated. it wasn't really an "action" film.

That's interesting that you say that, given that it was advertised as a thriller, not an action flick.

I thought the movie was carried for the most part by Will Smith's performance. Positively chilling at some points, including:

When he is driving down the road during the afternoon, and notices the mannequin (sp?) that has been moved. The acting in this scene is awesome.

The story was interesting, but I felt like they could have done more with it. Something at that epic a scale could have been executed more effectively, I think.

it was boring for me, stupid plot.

When they redo a movie like this they seem to mess it up with changes they make. The original movie The Last Man on Earth (1964) was better.

The movie i think that had a stupid plot was a boy and his dog http://www.imdb.com/!@#$%^&*le/tt0072730/ . Now that was a stupid movie.

How the !@#$%^&* did the manican(sp) get moved? I assume the vampires did it, but they didn't really call them vampires, nor did they elude to the fact that they had any REAL intelligence, other than the fact that one was willing to get burned by the sun to see Will Smith, nor did they even bring up the option that it was the vampires.

The screenplay was poorly done. However, Will Smith's acting was A++, too bad it wasn't enough to carry the entire movie. I bet he'll get a nomination for golden globe or possibly Oscar, but that's about it.

Maybe good... but I doubt it can be considered one of the TOP 5 movies EVER... Unless you really did not watch many movies blum.gif

Edit: I thought this was the top 5 movie thing... apparently it's been spammed... oh well.
