hypersk Posted December 18, 2007 Report Posted December 18, 2007 Hi all. I'm using Kubuntu 7.10 (64-bit version) and I downloaded SnrrrubSpace (the Subspace client for Linux), but I can't install it. Since I don't have Windows on this computer, I'm trying to make a clean install of SnrrrubSpace, but I get the following error: "./space: error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-1.2.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" I installed three libraries from the Adept Manager to see if I could solve the problem: libgtk1.2 libgtk1.2-common libgtk1.2-dbg And I kept getting the same error. I looked at the installed files and libgtk-1.2.so.0 is right there on my usr/lib directory, it seems like the installer is looking somewhere else and can't find the file. Can anyone help me???

Hakaku Posted December 18, 2007 Report Posted December 18, 2007 SnrrrubSpace is definitely not the SubSpace client for Linux, and was never even completed. Comparably, Bak's Discretion client and Pyxlz's client were far more advanced than Snrrub's attempt. For Linux however, you'll need WINE to run Continuum (if that's all you're trying to do, is play SubSpace with the rest of us) :http://wine.getcontinuum.com/ http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v138/zacinu/SubSpacebannt2.pngPSPACE (SourceForge) - Alternative client (source) to Continuum
