Guest Clous Posted December 18, 2007 Report Posted December 18, 2007 I had to re-download SS, and I can't download the zone directory list. It says, "unable to retrieve new zone listing. Make sure you're using one ore more valid directory, etc, etc" Here are the directories I've tried: ssdir.playsubspace.com,sscentral.subspacedownloads.com,sscenral.sscuservers.net,sscentral.trenchwars.org Lastly, I have all firewalls and anti-virus off. I use:Free AVGAVG Anti-SpywareZone Alarm (free) (SS is also on the exception list)Windows Firewall=off

Guest JnyCash Posted January 7, 2008 Report Posted January 7, 2008 I'll echo the firewall response, I had this problem before. I disabled everything on the PC end and still couldn't get connected, turned out the firewall on the router was stopping it. It was one of those Verizon Westell DSL modem/wireless router combo boxes. Don't have use those anymore, and I can't remember what I specifically did to fix it... sorry.
