»doc flabby Posted December 18, 2007 Report Posted December 18, 2007 (edited) Anyone can contribute to the project. Please contribute by making a new thread, with your contribution attached. All contributions will have to be approved by a developer, before making it into the official release (Use http://sf.net/projects/subspace2) to view the developers. In order to ensure we stay legal and avoid any potential problems with SubSpace & Continuum IP we must follow these rules. Rules for contributions. All contributions MUST be be licenced under GPL, or GPL compatable licence (public domain / BSD are examples of compatable licences). All contributions MUST be your own work, but they may contain work by others, provided it is licenced under GPL, or GPL compatable licence. If other people's work is used you must acknowlege them clearly. No SubSpace / Continuum artwork or sound will be accepted. We will allow using alternative artwork in game (ie you can use it yourself), but we cannot distribute it outselves legally. Guidelines If possible include an EXE /demo of your contribution as well as a description so we can see what it is your are adding. Edited August 31, 2008 by doc flabby Quote
tcsoccerman Posted August 31, 2008 Report Posted August 31, 2008 Doc, how would u like me to contribute. Something in C or c# but not so much c++ for me. Maybe something in c Windows Development (like to set the controls (gun, bomb, forward, portal button, etc.) or macros, or create a profile). Quote

Maybe something in c Windows Development (like to set the controls (gun, bomb, forward, portal button, etc.) or macros, or create a profile).I'd like to see what both you and samp have done already as i know you've done quite a bit. The problem is i don't really have the time to trawl though all the source, so if you've got screenshots or demos i can have a look at then i can see where we are at. Quote
tcsoccerman Posted August 31, 2008 Report Posted August 31, 2008 Well i added those classes, (Macro, Ship, Profile, Weapon, Item) and other stuff like that. It's just there is no way to implement it yet. I also started to work on the developer tools but that is very heavy, and dependent on .net framework, so that might be trashed. Quote
Samapico Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 What I did back in the way was pretty much to set up a skinnable menu, with fading / scrolling animations, pop-up panels and stuff... from there, it could be possible to make a nice skin, options could be changed directly from the skin without any other form popping up. However, some forms with these things would be useful, for skin developpers for example, if they don't want to make all the options accessible, they could just use a showOptions command on one of the controls. So far, it was possible to load skin graphics from a file, and create hotspots that react to the mouse, showing / hiding / fading other graphics found in one of the bitmap files !@#$%^&*ociated to the skin. That was very long ago though If I start working on that again, I bet I'll redo a couple of things from new ideas / ways to think that came in my mind in the meantime. I'll try to make a small demo skin sometime Quote
Dolphin Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 Hello, I would like an quick update on where you are, or when you expect a (well-established beginning beta) estimate is fine. I am goin to keep all the Facebbok community updated, as for right now a lit do not even know there are multiple versions that may come out. I will also try to relay all suggestions made by the players on what they would like To see change/ added etc So that you have the chance to get their input and incorporate what you want. Please note that the SS community will pretty much decide if your version will make it or not. so please allow them to be included. Thank you P.s. I am also updating the community on the other versions being in progress as that is only fair. Dolphin I meant that to be private sorry Oups and btw good luck ! Quote
