Everyone throwing around allegations of corruptions in the SSC - that's a wild !@#$%^&*umption. I've yet to see any names named, or even any examples.

You have yet to see any names named because it could potentially hurt the population of the game, drive current players away, or leave them without zones to play in (you seem to have missed the deleted post from Polix that was sitting in the recycle bin until today when it got purged).

 

Everyone thinking population is the only factor when considering zones for the SSC - that's an !@#$%^&*umption. While it's true that a zone needs to actually have people, you know, actually playing it before it gets access, we also look at a number of other factors. One of the most important being that particular zone's staff.

That is the largest heaping pile of !@#$%^&* I've ever heard. One of the most important factor's is a zone's staff to you guys? If that was the case Halo and DS would have been shut down years ago, ya know, with the whole Argus stealing people's money, and Viligante's personal vendetta netban spree against the people who opposed his squad or insulted him. Not to mention all the mods are the most abusing temperamental kids ever. So don't tell me that you consider the staff important when choosing whether or not a zone gets SSC billing access, because it's not, and even if it IS a pivotal part of a zone GAINING SSC access, it's obviously not important when it comes to keeping the access. The same goes for a zone's population, because there's plenty of zones with SSC access who haven't had a soul play in ages.

 

Everyone thinking the SSC doesn't get anything done - that's a completely and utterly wild !@#$%^&*umption. Our role is to -help- move the game forward by providing opinions from basically every SSC zone.

If everything you did was to help move the game forward, then why is the game dieing and population decreasing? That doesn't sound like forward movement to me, sounds more like a recession. Maybe you should evaluate how you're "helping" and think of something new because whatever you're doing now isn't working. And "providing opinions from basically every SSC zone" is a lie. Where's the opinion from Devastation, Mystic Kingdom, Star Wars, Desert Storm, Halo, Hyperspace, Dragonball Z, Fusion, The Complex and Superships? 60% of the council are people from SVS zones...how's that help the community?

 

Just a quick rundown of what we're doing/we've done in the past month:

- We've diffused a very serious issue in Desert Storm Zone.

- We're in the midst of adding a new member.

- We're discussing a new net-ban protocol.

- We're discussing a potential new SSC zone.

- Like what? Did villi throw another fit and start netbanning people again?

- Whoopdy do, another afk'er who won't do !@#$%^&* for the game or it's players, gj.

- Discussing? How about doing? Net bans are a joke, a 4 year old could byp!@#$%^&* it. Quit talking and do something.

- Another zone full of idiot mods? Wait a min, there's only like 3 zones that are non-ssc, and the only one with decent population is Armada, which already has an SSC slot if I'm not mistaken. What else is there? CZ Cheese Zone? Flag !@#$%^&*? Underworld? Evolution? They're all dev or dead zones. I vote CypherJF's Test Zone for SSC access.

 

Keep in mind with the exception of 3 or 4 members, we all run our own zones as well.

Yeah 17th is dead, HZ's population goes up and down more than a street hooker who was just given $500 (not to mention your IP changes every 2 months because you can't pay the bills on your server), Alpha West only has bots and a few idlers, Red Star is a joke in it's own right, and always will be, Star Warzone hasn't had a pop above 5 in the past...eon, plus mackie's more afk than Prittk these days.., Ekted quit last I heard and Powerball is filled with specers, Gauntlet hasn't been popular in forever, Testtube left, and Warzone CTF hasn't had anyone play in ages. The only members who run successful zones are Hoch, Pointman & Zeus, and Pure_luck. The rest of your zones are pathetic and haven't been dev'ed in the past 2 years and only sustain a population of bots and afk'ers who use your zone as a gateway to chat. Where the f is pritt, im gonna bust a cap in his !@#$%^&*, he needs to work on this game not other programs, man he prob wants this game to just die out....

I think he does care, but in a nostalgic kind of way, i can't think its lack of money stopping him developing continuum, its lack of motivation, hes just not interested anymore, hes got older, moved on to bigger things. He helps us out (with server etc) because he cares, but he isnt motivated to continue real development to the client imo.

This is why I support the individual's who are actively working on building a new game client and server where "SSC" will become "irrelevant". This new group will surp!@#$%^&* the current council and ideally things should move forward. But, in the meantime, there's a lot to do.
