What kind of connection do you have?

Type ?lag or ?packetloss and post what it says.

Also run a trace on the zone you're playing and let it cycle around 100 times.

Ok so the problem is from your end. What type of connection do you have? Is it wireless and how fast is it? Also do you use a router?

Does this apply to every zone you play?

If it's just in a specific zone, then it's possible that something between you and the server is causing a problem. Try tracing the zone that you get specced in, or whichever one you play in the most. To do this, open up Continuum, select the zone, and click the button that says "Trace". After 100 cycles, post the results up here.

PRIMUS TELECOMMUNICATIONS CANADA INC >216.254.131.17 <---this one is the bad server not hopone.net

I ran a test on hopone.net and i had no loss from there servers. If they cant help you "change to rogers or sympatico... there available in ETOBICOKE. and symp is on the fastline there.

Just call your ISP and ask them to take a look at that sever -->216.254.131.17 from what you posted "you use PRIMUS/DSL?

If you do a lot of d/l you are being Throttled and Prinus does Throttl down users that do a lot of downloads same with syampatico & rogers. Throttled= loss of speed (more then half) .

I use a wireless router, which is not normaly a problem. I have played EG for 2 years, with the same router and ISP ect. with no other problems. I have no way of getting my packet loss down..

I hope you can help me. Its pissing me off...

You have packetloss from the router.

Your wireless seems to be an issues _sometimes_, but it doesn't appear to be the main cause. I pinged the server with the massive packetloss and got no response. :o
