Guest Guest: jake Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 hi every time i start playing the game it allows me to fly aroudn for a about a minute then it puts me into spectator mode and when i try and join it says "packet loss too high for you to join" what does this mean? and how can i stop it?
Incomplete Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 What kind of connection do you have? Type ?lag or ?packetloss and post what it says. Also run a trace on the zone you're playing and let it cycle around 100 times.
Guest Guest Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 ?lag came up with................. ping current: 0 ms average: 0 ms low: o ms high: o ms s2c:0.0% c2s 0.0% ?packetloss came up with........ PACKET LOSS ServerToYou 0.4% YouToServer 20.4%
Incomplete Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 Ok so the problem is from your end. What type of connection do you have? Is it wireless and how fast is it? Also do you use a router?
Guest Guest: jake Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 idk what type of connection i have........... its not wireless its usually fast and i use a router
Hakaku Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 Does this apply to every zone you play? If it's just in a specific zone, then it's possible that something between you and the server is causing a problem. Try tracing the zone that you get specced in, or whichever one you play in the most. To do this, open up Continuum, select the zone, and click the button that says "Trace". After 100 cycles, post the results up here.

Shock Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 You have packetloss from the router. Your wireless seems to be an issues _sometimes_, but it doesn't appear to be the main cause. I pinged the server with the massive packetloss and got no response.
Guest Johnson Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 Here are my results when I Ping the IP adress PING 172.17.169.107 (172.17.169.107): 56 data bytes --- 172.17.169.107 ping statistics ---4 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss
