Suicide_Run Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 Well, I was browsing around and I found this. Get A Free Vista For Feedback Apparently, you gotta allow Microsoft install something on your comp....which allows them to view pretty much everything you do cause they want to improve their service or w/e. Plus you gotta do a survey and after doing both, you gotta wait for 3 months then they will send you a free copy of Vista Ultimate. Also....apparently from what a poster said, its US only so....sucks for me since im in Canada.
Keiver Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 Yeah and I was "supposed" to get free Vista a year ago because I did a survey on Microsoft.com 2 years ago. Thanks Microsoft!
candygirl Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 Vista it sucks anyway. I went back to xp.
Testtube Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 Same reinstalled XP after buying and trying out vista
»Admiral Kirk Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 Vista blows, I used it back in beta, then again in pre-release. I kept hoping it would get better, it never did. Windows Vista is the new Windows ME ^^.
»LtNirvana Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 Vista is alright but XP is all you needs its just more functional as an OS. Also Vista free = ez since it authenticates at the bios level, hacking + cracking it is so !@#$%^&*ing easy.
ESCANDAL0SA Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 do you guys think i can go back to XP if my laptop was specifically designed for Vista?
X`terrania Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 Windows 98 has always been the best.
Cancer+ Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 do you guys think i can go back to XP if my laptop was specifically designed for Vista? Yes. Just pop in an XP cd.
ESCANDAL0SA Posted December 14, 2007 Report Posted December 14, 2007 are you sure? someone told me that i'm gonna run into problems since my laptop was designed specifically for vista.
»LtNirvana Posted December 14, 2007 Report Posted December 14, 2007 Someone is an idiot, just boot from the XP cd and format your computer completely. You can't do an "upgrade" install cuz your going backwards.
Incomplete Posted December 14, 2007 Report Posted December 14, 2007 I wouldnt say idiot, just not a computer geek. It's an innocent question. :/ Like some phones wont take other lines even being unlocked because it's built for that one line.
Cancer+ Posted December 14, 2007 Report Posted December 14, 2007 Yeah but no computer is "BUILT" for an OS. (Except for MAC?) It just has the specs that Vista could run on. XP will just run better.
Incomplete Posted December 14, 2007 Report Posted December 14, 2007 Yes I know that but what I was meant to say is that there's no point im having a dig at someone who doesn't know.
Ghetto D Posted December 14, 2007 Report Posted December 14, 2007 When they say "designed for Vista" it it just a fancy selling tool, to make you think what you are buying is the latest and greatest. In reality it is built to run Vista, using usually the minimum required parts to run the software. I love how some of the computers are coming out with 512mb of ram, which is fine for just vista home, but as soon as you start running other programs, you might as well forget it. I worked at CompUSA when vista was launched, They had us selling this thing like it the was the greatest thing since the GUI. Now compUSA is out of business, lol.
Cancer+ Posted December 15, 2007 Report Posted December 15, 2007 Yes I know that but what I was meant to say is that there's no point im having a dig at someone who doesn't know. No, I was just simply letting Losa and the general audience know. But yeah Losa, just pop the XP cd in and run it. It will run fine.
Trained Posted December 24, 2007 Report Posted December 24, 2007 (edited) I havn't run into problems with vista.. but that doesn't mean anything, im barely ever on this !@#$%^&* thing anymore.. Edited December 24, 2007 by Trained
