Quite curious, what kind of foods does the SS community enjoy? I myself have always been a pasta/junk food kind've guy, but lately I find myself eating a lot of raw vegetables, like I just finished eating a potato a few minutes ago, and it was pretty refreshing.

Heres a pretty good recipe that I just made for General Tso's chicken. This is a recipe that Ive basically made my own by using ideas from other recipes.

 

Chicken:

This time, I made it with dark meat, however it would probably be better with white meat. I used a batter, although you could probably use a dry mix. For the batter, I did something like this:

In a Bowl:

3 Cups Flower to 1 Cup Corn Starch

To Taste: Garlic Powder, Salt, Pepper, Soy Sauce, Sesame Oil (Not required), Chili Powder

Add water (about 5-6 cups), stir. Should be a pretty good consistency, use your best judgment.

Cut chicken into cubes of about 1inch. Put it into the batter and mix well making sure that all is coated.

Heat oil up (Vegetable oil, olive oil, peanut oil, whatever you choose)

Fry chicken until cooked and crispy.

 

Sauce:

In a sauce pan or wok, add 1 tsp freshly minced ginger, 1 tbl s!@#$%^&* minced garlic, ground ginger (to taste, about 1/2 tsp), 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1cup chicken broth, 2tbl s!@#$%^&* rice vinegar, 2tbl s!@#$%^&* water. In a small bowl, combine 2tbls corn starch and a little water till soupy to make a rue. Turn heat on. Add brown sugar, sugar, crushed red and spicy szechuan (to taste). Add the rue slowly while stirring. It should become thick. Taste, adjust to suite your taste.

 

Place chicken in the sauce and combine. Eat.

Orange Juice is the !@#$%^&* too, but pulp-free only. That and eggnog and pink lemonade.

Being a poor student that sucks at cooking, I enjoy spaghetti alot

and pizza...

and hot-dogs... for some reason I could eat a dozen hot-dogs 3 times a day and I'd still love them...

 

The best thing ever would have to be a club sandwich... Especially those made by my dad

 

 

However, after a while of eating !@#$%^&*, some raw vegetables always make me feel good

Well, i love everything but im not a big meat eater. I like to try new stuff alot. My parents are cook, they showed me alot so i like to cook, and im pro at it $$

italian....pasta with ham and some parmesan cheese.....that and some good red wine.

 

If you like red wine you should try masi, i usally buy the cheapest kind of masi (modello) but its still real good.

 

 

now ima go make meatballs (moose meat) and have mashed potatoes with that, also real good food and easy to cook.

simple !@#$%^&* for me, penne pasta with bolognese sauce and cut up italian sausages.

Chicken tops the list. Give me some chicken and Mountain Dew and I'm good. BBQ, fried, wings, breast, doesn't matter.

Followed by chicken fettuccine alfredo.

And a close third is pizza topped with pepperoni, sausage, salami, beef, bacon, and ham (AKA, Real Man Pizza). I can eat my own weight in that kind of pizza.
