Guest Guest:alex_* Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 I have tried to make a new account with this but every time it says that i have used an invalid password so try a new name. ( which makes no sence anyway) however, I have tried many new names and new passwords. all i really want to do is use the same account i have on another computer. Why is this thing so lame that it won't let me?
»Purge Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 are you trying to make a new account on this forum or on Continuum? if you just want to use the same account on the forum, try having your "lost" password sent to your email. then login using that password and it should work on any computer. if you're trying to make a new account on Continuum, you're probably trying too common a name. does it not let you create an account for something like "ssdude1627x"?
Samapico Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 all i really want to do is use the same account i have on another computer.A Continuum account on your other computer? Or an account of something else? If it's a Continuum account, there is no problem is using it on two different computers (just not at the same time, obviously) But make sure you enter the right passwordAnd make sure that you are changing the "PLAYER NAME" , not PROFILE NAME. You can have multiple profiles using the same Player name. The profile name doesn't matter at all If you're trying to create a NEW account, as your thread !@#$%^&*le suggests, then make sure the name does not already exists. If it exists, it will tell you that the password is invalid. So you'd better try with a random-ish name first like Purge said. Just don't use special characters at the beginning. Once you get in, you can check for existing names with ?find playername. It will say 'Unknown user.' if the name does not exist, and then you can create it. On a side note, when creating accounts, enter your real e-mail address... It will be useful if you forget your password.
